I agree with all you said. In my eyes too much government is to blame equally with Corporate avarice. I'd also postulate that the westerners tend to want to live beyond their individual means, which exacerbates the problem.

And on topic. To be perfectly honest - I'm actually puzzled as to why there'd be a plaque to commemorate where anybody first kissed anybody else? I've never seen another such historical marker in my own travels.

So what have they put on the spot where he first banged her? (or hasn’t he yet?) One must wonder about these incredibly important issues

Now it seems that Baskin-Robbins *IS* in fact still there !!!

But they moved the shop a few doors away

Bain must have arranged for some creative refinancing and restructuring.

Probably had to do with a joint debt swap and open end lease deal involving Baskin-Robbins, Subway owners (who ever they are), and the real estate trust that owns and operates the shopping center.
