linky

not surprising... congress breaking laws.
Basically article goes into how lawmakers are supposed to have two accounts.
One official and another personal.
But most just have one and may have broke laws by tweeting then deleting the tweet about the vp pick.

“It's illegal to comment on political matters on your official profile,” said a source familiar with congressional ethics rules. “It's also bad practice because it confuses constituents on which is political and which is official. The news of a VP pick has nothing to do with your elected official duties.”

here is a list of deleted tweets.

No one broke the law.

Several Congress members may have broken the rules regulating official use of social media

Laws are rules, but rules, are not necessarily laws.

A bunch of old guys do not undertstand a new set of rules in a social media a new modern source of communication. That is hardly nefarious and something just about every company, school and other organization struggles with. For all the things to bash congress of this is completely petty.
