Israeli rhetoric on Iran strike heats up

TEL AVIV – If the number of column inches in Israel’s newspapers is any kind of accurate measure, the Middle East is in for a nerve-shredding few weeks. Day after day, the topic of Iran’s nuclear program, and the chances of Israel making a pre-emptive strike to destroy Tehran’s nuclear capability, has been headline news. For those who fear war and its consequences, none of it has made comforting reading. To sum up: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak are said to be close to ordering military strikes.

Is it not obvious why the west NEVER attacks Iran ?

What's to be scared of, though? A single nuke from the US or any western nation will completely eradicate the entire nation of Iran. They wouldn't have anyone left to press their own nuke launch buttons. 100% annihilation, 1 bomb. Scared? I don't think so.

it disturbs me how callous some people can be....as if wiping out an entire nation is something to aspire to.........

not scared.... you damn well should be......if iran gets hit it will only be a matter of time before we have a full scale nuclear conflict potentially killing billions......

Never said it was a good thing, or that I wanted it to happen. I simply stated that being scared of Iran is a silly reason to attach to the reality that we haven't attacked yet. They're possibly working on, or already have 1 nuke. We have thousands, of which are probably 100x more powerful than anything they've come up with. To say that the west is scared of Iran using a single nuke is preposterous. The instant our radars detect an ICBM originating from Iran, it's a parking lot. Iran is a child compared to the west, when it comes to military know-how and the like.


Possibly, they're scared of the backlash it would create within political circles of Russia/China. Not scared of Iran itself.

Lets say you ran Iran.

What would you do if surrounding country's are consistently beating the war propaganda against you into the minds of the world.

Would you just sit back and wait for the missiles or prepare.

The people inside Iran must be nervous as can be.

Those are people like you and me.

They have fear and probably are very concerned for their loved ones.

This is insanity.

Exactly what size nuke will completely eradicate the nation of Iran and leave the rst of the region untouched? I'm in Australia, a western nation. We can 100% annihilate them with one bomb?

Is a religious country scared of being wiped out?
If they know that they are going to heaven they would not be scared, maybe that is what actually scares the west, these people may not fear death.

Just because we may fear death, that is no reason to assume all believe that.
