Now this is all speculation, so bear with me.

The price of a gallon of gas has gone up $0.10 since yesterday, and it went up 5 cents the day before. At least here in Southern California. It is up to $4.17 here. But prices have been rising Nationwide for the past month.
Further Info

Now this could be just a result of the recent oil refinery fires over the past week, as described in these threads: Thread Thread

But I think the fact that two refineries have had explosions over such a short time to be suspicious.

OK, to my point. It would seem that the big banks have ditched Obama in favor of Romney. Opensecrets.org
And everyone knows that the price of fuel is easily manipulated by Wall Street. So with gas prices rising so close to the election this will help sway support from Obama over to Romney. Because Americans are like that.

You couldn't get me to vote for either of them if you held a gun to my head, but that's not relevant.

So, what do you think ATS. Does this sound plausible, or am I thinking into this too much?

I do agree that the oil refinery fires in Richmond, California, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, less than a week apart, are indeed suspicious. I typically do not believe in coincidences.

Whether or not gas prices will sway the election is another matter. I'm like you, I wouldn't vote for either of those sock puppets if my life depended on it.

Gas prices have been artificially suppressed for a while now, so it's time to stick it to us once again. If people are so dumb as to believe that the president controls oil prices, rather than the shadow government that tells him what to do, then all we can do it sit back and watch the idiocy.

Yeah, but weird stuff is going on in Washington. Mr. Obama has spent the last 3 years being a blatant boy hating, male hating bigot. Then recently Mr. Obama's administration pushed for severely limiting the sates ability to use contempt of court procedures to arrest non-custodial parents(fathers) who fell behind in their indenture servant/ paying the master err mean child support payments.

Given that Romney is a socialist traditionalist(like feminism a Matriarchal social construct), it is getting weird. I doubt Mr. Obama will throw the feminist hate movement under the bus, and this is merely part of a larger social pattern(the Matriarchy flipping out because Gen Y guy's are in revolt via MGTOW and the Zeta male movement).

Don't get me wrong, if Mr. Obama threw feminism under a bus(signed an executive order recognizing it as a hate movement and purging his administration of feminist's), legalized something and deported the vast majority of the illegals, I would vote for him.

Because I know that Romney and the Republican's hate males just as much; as both the Democratic Party, and the Republican Party have made it clear that boy's, young men and men are sub human and undeserving of human rights. Well I contest that notion.

Pretty much that is what I am doing.

I have completely had enough with this farce of an election. Just enjoying all the nonsense, it's absurd.
If it wasn't so sad it would be hilarious.

I have no kids, so I am not up to speed with all the legal guardianship/ child support stuff.

But I have to say I have not noticed any gender targeting, at least not in my corner of the universe anyway.

That argument is absurd. No matter how many times I hear it.

A vote for Romney is a vote for Obama and vice versa. Your puppets have been chosen. You can go along with the rigged game or choose not to play.

It doesn't matter we all lose either way.

I am also aware that Ron Paul will never be president. But my principals will not allow me to choose between two equally corrupt scum bags.

This election cycle more than any other has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no hope for an honest person to ever be president in this country.
