Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson posted on twitter that the original unedited pictures from Mars show a McDonalds.

Obviously this is just a joke, but it is intended to mock the scientists and others who continue to see structures on Mars? Is this his clue that life as we know it exists in space already? What do you think?

I think Neil is just jumping on the bandwagon of all the fake photos people have created.. the curiosity landing has become a bit of a meme .. I've seen Marvin the Martian, Xenomorphs, Bugs Bunny, Wall-E and some other stuff out there.. I don't think he's exactly picking on anyone.. just jumping in on the fun .. and I don't think it's intended to have a hidden meaning either.

I unfortunately don't know who he is, but I think he just received a couple free burgers if you know what I mean

Advertising is dead.... corporate images in viral pictures are the next big thing.

Formula: Num_of_ReTweets X base_fee = $$$$

twitter.com... The post in question. The actual text:

"Censored by NASA: The actual first image taken by @MarsCuriosity from the surface of Mars."

He is currently the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium as well as the narrator for Nova Science Now. He has been on many shows including the Colbert Report and is one of the main scientists behind Pluto being excluded as a planet.

I didnt know about this meme so I maybe jumped the gun, but there is a mocking by mainstream scientists of the idea of ET life. I just dont see NDT do it much so I was shocked.

Neil deGrasse Tyson has always taken funny jabs at pop culture or our willingness to believe in the absurd. He isn't just one of our best thinkers, he makes a great celebrity. Someone truly interesting to follow.

Here's what people don't seem to get. If they can make a full blown movie like Paranormal Activity for just 16k then for even 1 to 5 million they would easily be able to create this whole Curiosity lander. Even put it on the rocket that's gonna send up there newest spy satelite. Then just launch the robot off on some wild tragectory never to be seen again.

then what they do is lunch there spy satelite that they might have spent 100 million on.

Then months later they bring a working version of the same robot to the desert and from time to time film it doing a few random tasks. Something that would cost next to nothing. They upload those videos from time to time on there NASAHHHHH site to keep people thinking that there 2.5 billion went to something useful.

Meanwhile that money is being used for all kinds of nefarious purposes. I mean I'm just speculating I could be dead wrong. But the moon landing, now these new mars landings? Come on get real, remember the Hegalian dialectic.

Also remember what G Boosh Jr told us....

There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — [pauses] — shame on you. Fool me — [pauses] — You can't get fooled again.
