Seriously, how did Harry Reid get so rich?

Hmmmm. It seems that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is not quite the paragon of common-man virtue I had always respected and admired. His dead father must be so ashamed. Insider trading anyone?

To be honest 10 million in assets is NOTHING compared to Mitt's money.

I'm not saying Reid didn't benefit from his position - they all do but 8 mill in RE and 2 million in cash isn't in the big leagues of the elite.

I would like to know exactly how Mitt got SO rich. He seams smart but not that smart. He made a few mistakes which seemed a little non-PC.

Mitt Romney graduated first in his class with a 3.97 GPA from BYU (English major) and cum laude from Harvard Law School and in the top 5% of his class from HBS. How exactly are you qualified to judge his intelligence?

Just saying, seeing as all who sit on the Fed's Board of Governors, with the exception of Bernanke, were appointed since Reid position as Senate Majority Leader, I wonder what it took for their Senate confirmations...

Book sense and common sense are two different things. After listening to him speak anyone with common sense would think his elevator doesn't quite reach the top floor.

To the OP: Reid has 10 million in assets. By Congress's standard that makes him a piker. Reid doesn't even crack the top 50.

The 50 Richest Members of Congress

The richest guy is Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), worth nearly 300 million. The second richest is Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), worth 220 million. The richest Democrat is Kerry, worth about 193 million.

Going on about Reid and his 10 million seems like petty payback for his calling out Romney on his taxes.

Considering Reid himself has not disclosed his tax returns and we have millioniare Democratic congress man as Romney said PUT UP OR SHUT UP name the source, and disclose his taxes.

The democrats the only ones making an issue about Romneys taxes isn't going to vote for him anyway.

Should we judge all crooks by the standards of other crooks? If one crook has 300 million does that make the crook who only has ten million a nice guy and a candidate for saint hood?
