McDonald's Realistic Olympic Advert

Hi there, this is my first thread but I thought I should probably share this, the image below is the new Mcdonald's advert for the Olympics,



Well I immediately thought "How accurate, look at all the empty seats!"

But now I'm not too sure, here's my question;

Was this advert created to make humour out of the Empty seats or was it an advertising mistake?

The weird thing about that is many of the "good" seats where purchased and still remained empty...
