I have wondered the same thing, and more than likely this site is monitered, and info collected. For myself, I say, let them, it's not going to prevent me from speaking out against things I believe are wrong. LOL..infact sometimes I even write posts thinking in the back of my mind, I HOPE TPTB read this, and know that they have one more person in this world that isn't going down without a fight......

let me just say OP i completely understand where your comeing from.
its the "anything you say can and will be used against you" sorta thing right?

i have considered this and in all honesty i still think this site is woth every click
deep down we all know evrypost is read and logged but most people on here (i suspect) are rather courageous and understand how imortant it is to flex the muscle that is our constitutional rights.

STAN...unless you have the plans for a Perpetual Energy Source in your pocket or the Plans for a U.S. Military Reaction to another Countries specific Plan of Attack...or any direct knowledge about the "AGENCY"...I would have to say you have NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT! LOL!

Contrary to popular belief...at least on THIS BOARD...the U.S. Government or Agencies of or the U.S. Military...is NOT OUT TO GET YOU! They are comprised of Normal People...just like anyone from any Family. They are the Sons and Daughters...Moms and Dads...Grandmas and Grandpas...Aunts and UNCLES of what is PATRIOTIC AMERICA. They are very BRAVE people and since all these Job Descriptions I listed are all VOLUNTEER...they are THE VERY BEST OF US as they agreed to do what most people would not have the BALLS or MENTAL FOCUS AND DETERMINATION to do...that being...STAND GUARD...BE READY TO SACRIFICE EVERYTHING for the rest of us.

Are some programs controversial? ABSOLUTELY! If it were your CHILD or MOM or DAD or other Family Member who was putting all on the line...would you...and answer this truthfully because it is one thing to be typing your response and another to be LIVING IT....would you not trade a little controversy for KEEPING YOUR CHILD SAFE?

I KNOW...that there will be some people that respond to this in a manner that is of the nature of stating...THEY...always use examples of this type in order to SCARE US into allowing THEM to take away our rights a little at a time! In response to these types of replies I will say...I AM A STAUNCH DEFENDER OF THE CONSTITUTION AND BILL OF RIGHTS OF THE UNITED STATES...and I can tell the difference between someone attempting to limit or remove my RIGHTS THAT ARE SELF EVIDENT AS EXPLAINED BY THE CONSTITUTION...as compared to removing a ROAD BLOCK that our enemies are aware of and use against us as they know it may be a possible CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUE.

When My Team is confronted with an issue of this nature they look to me. I have GREAT LEEWAY but I make it a point to never go into the field under CONSTRAINTS that will put My Team as well as Myself in Jeopardy all because I have to wait in REAL TIME for an OK to be given by some PAPER PUSHER! I have gone though this ONCE...I WILL NEVER GO THROUGH IT AGAIN! THESE are the areas and Moments that such Controversial Laws have been written for...and they could have done a MUCH BETTER JOB WRITING THEM as an example...If a LAW was written that stated that a U.S. CITIZEN who goes on the WEB or TV and broadcasts a VIDEO of themselves RENOUNCING THEIR U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS CALL ON ALL FOLLOWERS TO START JIHAD AND KILL U.S. CITIZENS ANYWHERE AND AS MANY AS POSSIBLE...this persons U.S. Citizenship should be revoked thus the IDIOCY OF LAWYERS LINING UP TO SUE FOR THE PURPOSEFUL KILLING OF THIS PERSON by any U.S. Force or Agency or if I was so lucky...ME...the simple and proper LAW that could have avoided this S#!% STORM that would have existed by ADDING A FEW WORDS...those being...their U.S. CITIZENSHIP WILL BE REVOKED IMMEDIATELY AND WILL BE CONSIDERED A TRAITOR AND A MASS MURDERER WHO HAS ADMITTED THEIR CRIME PUBLICLY. If the law said this...we would not have heard the cries...U.S. KILLS CITIZEN without trial or use of the INNOCENT BEFORE PROVEN GUILTY! His GUILT was admitted by HIMSELF and he BRAGGED about how many U.S. Citizens he had helped KILL! I'm not worried about the governmtnt coming to get us. I mean, i hate to say it, but the fact that this is a conspiracy site means that not many people beyond the members of this site will believe anything written here, hard facts or not. We're not the MSM, so the population at large won't take reports from this site seriously. The government knows this. They don't care what we know because no one will believe us anyway.

You make some good points SplitInfinity I also believe in the rights to freedom of speech and defending the Constitution of the United States, on the other hand I believe our constitutional rights are being violated on a daily basis by many 3 or 4 letter organizations. Here is a NSA whistle blower who says that this is in the agenda of the US government, and in light of these abuses of power he resigned.NSA WISTLE BLOWER

What would i want ? of course I would not want any of that!! I do believe that we should not bend the rules on an emotional ploy of danger or fear. Quote from Ben Franklin “Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” I believe we can solve problems logically without the need for secrecy or leaving up to secret groups to solve problems under the pretense of death or imprisonment. The same goes for any agency that might use the posts of this forum to analyze the psyche of the collective consciousness, without consent of the users they watch. Information is being used to retort the government position on a great many number of topics to wage psychological war against the people, this includes MSM and many political organizations. The question is do you want to contribute to that and... or..... do you think there are ways to change this problem on ATS, and fix some of the problems that have given rise to these questions?

I applaud your ability to stick yourself out there and stand up for what is right! still on the fence though on how this information might be used in the future?

I think ATS as a community sucks at finding secret information. Most topics get too political and the people who do post cool and interesting theories or conclusions have put a great deal of time and effort laying it out there for all people here to see, but its already out there if you truly dig around for this stuff.

Does this mean the end or the beginning of ATS as a source of information?

We'll see what happens after the US elections shall we. I've only been here for over a year and its been highly political. I think its due to the elections, so maybe that changes when there is no election!

Thank you for understanding where I was going. Franklin was a BRILLIANT MAN! The problem is that some of the issues we have today were never even DREAMED OF by the Founding Fathers and although I would be the First In Line to Fight For My RIGHTS....we have issues of such complexity that more care is needed in crafting the proper LAWS that do not violate our CONSTITUTION AND BILL OR RIGHTS which I happen to believe may be the most important documents EVER WRITTEN!

The problem is in LAZY LAWMAKERS or worse...LAWMAKERS who are just plain stupid and cannot see that it is EASY to PROTECT the Constitution and at the same time...write into effect Laws that will protect us to a greater extent without any loss of our RIGHTS.

So...I do not believe it is anyones AGENDA but rather just plain STUPIDITY AND LAZINESS! Split Infinity
