I never post anything but after the news last week and no sign of it here, I must post it.

This happened where I live and I am truly terrified of the extent of some people's actions.

Many people in the UK dont even know about it and they should!

HE inquest into the death of the man decapitated in his Bournemouth flat was opened this afternoon. Bournemouth Coroners’ Court heard that Sergio Retamar Marquez, 23, was found dead in his flat at Lansdowne Mews, off Lansdowne Road just before 5pm on Tuesday. Sergio worked as a waiter at the Britannia Hotel in Meyrick Road on the East Cliff. He’d previously been a student at the United World School of English in St Peter’s Road in Bournemouth. Sergio, who was from the southern Spanish town of Coin, was hacked to death in a two-bedroom flat above Downes Wine Bar in Lansdowne Road. Today’s inquest heard that Mr Marquez’s body was identified by his uncle Miguel Marquez Torres at Holly Tree Lodge this morning.

This guy (an American) used to live with Sergio Marquez for two months. Appenrtly Sergio did mention to his friends how odd this guy was but you obviously never think someone will do anything like this to you. The day the American guy was supposed to move out, he then attacked the Spanish student, Sergio.

Read it here. This is a massive case of the worst disgusting behaviour. I am very ashamed that this happened in my town and to a language student. People that come here to learn English (because unfortunately there is no other option!), they work here, they spend so much money in education and living here, they INVEST so much money in this country and STILL people are so ignorant as to always complain about the foreigners in the UK.

Many people in Bournemouth are foreigners but those foreigners ARE STUDENTS. They will probably go back to their countries soon enough.
I have a lot to say about this issue but I don't want to derail my own post.

I am truly sad for his parents, as he was only son and I am truly sad that this happened to him here. I am so sad of how it happened. Witnesses say that there was a lot of screaming at the time that happened. I believe that if the UK could come in better terms to be a real community, when you hear screams in your neighbourhood, it may be a scream for help and if anyone would have done anything at that time, this may have been avoided.

He was found hours later he got killed.

Here is the link for the article: Here

I still cry today for such a horrific thing. I hope this Karl rots in jail! and if possible, death penalty. Some people shouldn't exist.

Why do you feel ashamed? You had zero influence over this event.

A very shocking story of human behavior. This is not inherent of human nature, it will be as a result of the experiences of the environment around the killer.

I am disgusted that happened. I actually met the guy for 5 minutes one day and he was so lovely. He looked like a well educated young man.

I also heard that and I was going to say it in my OP but I didn't want to go on forever.
I know people can get influenced by certain environmental, physical, emotional etc.. to do stupid, horrific stuff but I dotn believe this guy have enough motives to behave like this? I mean he lives in a good enough descent country with many opportunities, he obviously had something to loose by doing this but....
When a man has had his city bombed and lost all his family in that act, then you can kinda "justify" that he will wan to have revenge... its human nature...
but this man.. this was driven by pure selfishness, evilness... jealousy... I dont know! They tried to kick him out of the flat and when he was leaving..he attacked Sergio... how horrible! I hope he rots!

I am not condoning the actions of this man, just offering up a reason. There is little excuse, if ever, for killing another human being, except in genuine self-defence.

Exactly! Self defense, life threatening self defense and this was not the case!

Well he will be receiving a hefty sentence for this crime, no doubt.

Added comment: Ignore the US spelling corrector. "Defense" is spelt "defence" over here in the UK.

I am shocked that I haven't heard about this story? I will read up
On it now. Such a sad thing to happen and even worse that he was in a foreign country a way from family and trying to learn.

Iv been to bournemouth a few times and never thought such a horrendous crime
Would happen there. I hope this guy gets a long sentence but the sentencing is so weak in the UK
At the moment.
