so what you mean to tell me is that you can say that " there is no proof" without actually providing real proof for your claim because " the other guy said it is real and has to prove it first." That is really lazy and dishonest.

You started the dishonesty by claiming ancient peoples mention Nibiru. Please substantiate that claim. I know that is a lie and you can wriggle and try to weasel out of this failure. Won't help. Please provide the evidence. I am calling your bluff.

but he made a statement, YOU are the accuser. YOU are accusing him of be incorrect. YOU need to provide proof his statement is wrong.

You've got the cart before the horse. He made a statement that I know is false. I'll bet you know it is false. I am simply calling his bluff.

Well when a thread like this get's long, I can understand not wanting to sift through it looking for links, relative information, etc.

So here are some links from me (from the "con" side or "skeptic/debunker" side):

Wikipedia's article on Nibiru

What a Brown Dwarf is.

What a Binary Companion is.

An article on the Binary Companion Theory for our sun (it's a good read).

Wikipedia on Gravitation. Really goes into depth, but you can pick the articles you want to read and try to understand.

Wikipedia on Orbital Mechanics. Again, gets very indepth, but gives some good basic understanding.

Wikipedia on Precession (the Earth's wobble).

Wikipedia on Orbital Eccentricity

and a link to the program that I use, Universe Sandbox

That should get you started from this side. As for the pro Nibiru people, I'll leave it to them to provide you with any other links on the subject of Nibiru.

Your post is a long winded excuse as to why you do not understand the issues at hand.

In addition to all of the other issues I have already pointed out a problem and that is that highly eccentric orbits are not stable over time due to transfers of momentum. A stable orbit cannot exist and thus the 3600 year cycle would change. It would change every orbit until the eccentricity is reduced or the object were ejected from the system.

There are many reasons to reject the claims of Nibiru. Each claim is adequate on its own. The sum of all of the arguments is that such a planet is impossible.

Wow, you just automatically assume that i have zero education on the subject.

What you know is immaterial to each of the arguments presented.

All i wanted to know was what made either side so sure of its claim. And instead i got the same old shifting of burden of proof and shame inducing derision

You told a lie about what the ancients wrote. Maybe you are ashamed of that. Maybe not. On the other hand physics makes it clear in several different ways that Nibiru is not possible.

At a time when wrist watches are becoming less and less used someone claims an ancient person wore a wristwatch. That is funny. Then a pointing finger is pushing a button.

Next they will claim that the finger is wiping a booger on a wall. The wristwatch should be a Dick Tracy radio. Why not have the bas relief show someone wearing a magnetic bracelet to relieve arthritis.

The strange looking staff is actually a baseball and bat from the ancient World Series or should I suggest ancient multi-world series.

And you and others missed my entire point. If you are going to say that someone is wrong than you need to explain WHY they are wrong.

Not always necessary. I do not need to show that Nibiru was never mentioned by the ancients. You need to show at least 1 instance of that. Can you?

Why doesn't Nibiru exist? This thread is full of strong evidence against Nibiru from detection by optical and IR instruments as well as gravity effects on other objects and the stability of the Earth's orbit. Maybe you missed all of that.

Unfortunately for mankind, there is Always a " JOKER " of some type in the crowd who thinks he is funny or clever with his insults and sly remarks... !

Exactly the way I feel about the wacky comments about the carving showing a power device, a button pushing finger, and a wristwatch.

Where did i say that nibiru is passing through our system on a regular basis? Where did i say that such an object even exists?

You didn't. I didn't say you did. A bit touchy aren't you?

Nibiru is supposed to be a planet with a 3,600 year orbit which brings it into the inner Solar System.

You were asking how to determine the veracity of the claims for either side. I provided the single strongest argument against its existence. Such an object is impossible because it would hopelessly disrupt the orbits of the planets.

How about the part where John Moore says
He's been talking to law enforcement and in the event of a
major disaster like the ones he's predicting, they may want to
"blow the bridges that lead out of St.Louis" ?

Great American...literally hindering Americans in need,
talking about blowing up sh** that doesn't belong to him.
Thats crazy talk.

What are they afraid of coming out of St.Louis?
Let's think about that.
Hmm.. What do they have in St.Louis that you don't find
in the rest of Missouri?

One thing I believe that we all can agree on is that one day, whenever that day is and maybe not in our lifetime, something big will collide with planet Earth.

It's a shame that so called predictions from people who only wish to profit off of other peoples ignorance and stupidity, seem to push debunkers into a no choice corner which ends up derailing such interesting subjects such as this. People want to discuss this stuff no matter what the scientific facts, or sometimes speculations, are.

Nobody really is to blame either. People have passion. Passion for the truth, and passion to debunk and expose lies. That is what we do here at ATS, we dig deeper into the facts more than your average website. What I love about this place is that intelligence always seems to occupy both sides. Even if both parties beg to differ on my assumption on that.

Looking forward to tomorrow night though my friends. Nothing like ATS on a hot Friday summer night with good subjects to discuss and even more so, pretty much over all good people as company. ~$heopleNation

Yes, I can afford to ignore it, if it were true, there isn't a damn thing you or I can do about it, so just kick back and relax and enjoy the time you have left.

I want to point out that when the sun was in the north eastern sky last Saturday, their were clouds around, but south-east of where the sun was I seen a circular or cresent object that emitted light like the sun was and almost like the same size as sun. why I saw partial was of clouds.

I am a skeptic of planet x.but what i seen, i've seen in youtube videos. my friend was driving so he didn't get the opportunity to see it, I just happened to look out the passanger window to behind us.

It's called a sundog

nope. thats not what i seen i seen an actual circular object that looked identical in size and color of the sun south east of the sun but had no weight to it (like solidness). like a mirror image. could of been a sundog.

From the link pic. I've never seen one of those, i've never seen those rainbows either, i can't remember what their called.

but like i said im a skeptic on it and even with seeing i still take things with a grain of salt.

If this thing comes by every few thousand years and it's so utterly devastating it can nearly wipe out mankind, how did so many different animal species pull through?

When this Nibiru thing doesn't happen, can I come back to you and get you to pay some of MY bandwidth for wasting MY time?

Or what?

Cause it ain't happening.

I wonder what part of the Ozarks he is broadcasting from? I live in the Missouri Ozarks myself. Not sure what to make of the whole Nibiru thing. I can't say for sure that it's fake, but at the same time I haven't seen anything myself that proves it exists. I guess thats why they call us the Show-Me state.

Nevermind. Just watched it a second time and heard him say "Crawford County". He's about an hour and a half from here.

What's crap about it? People have over and over and over blown holes in the OP's points, the OP is like a little child who can't see what anyone is saying, uses hoax documents to prove his point, points people to websites that have very questionable information on them, quotes out of a book that has no historical reference and continues to purport about secret directives from the government that just simply do not exist...

Now please? Are you saying with that overabundance of evidence you still think that anyone with an intelligent bone in their body could still stick by and say "the world is ending"
