here's how i see it:

this board is a sort-of slice of the world, where the opinions of the vocal are relatively well-represented. i think it shows, going by "feel," a slight majority of liberals to conservatives, but a slightly larger majority if discounting those on the board that are US citizens. i think this is the point of this thread. regardless of what sort of pull the US may have around the world, it is the right of ONLY those that are US citizens to choose who will govern us.

Really?...tell you what.... You do not have a say on what kind of government is in the US. Is that clear for you? Mexico and the rest of the world do not have anything to say about who the American people should vote for....

[edit on 11-10-2004 by Muaddib]

Well then you need to tell your god(bush) to "close" the borders so the Mexican people can't enter the United States, if you don't think these people have a right to an opionion, Muaddib, when it comes to our Gov't.

I for one say that other countries have the right to voice what they think of Dubya as your president,......... thats right I said yours,....... he's not mine, I did not vote for the jerk

they have all the right to an opinion as anyone else, just not a vote.

and unless you are a US citizen that has given up his/her citezenship, Bush is your president, too.

But the truth is....Clinton started a war with Iraq when he attacked sites over there....

[edit on 11-10-2004 by Muaddib]

Excuse me BUT, it was George Bush Sr., that started the crap with Iraq because Saddam refused to let the US run "pipe-line" through Iraq after Bush Sr., thought he had "sweeten the pot", by giving Saddam weapons among other things , and kissing-up to Saddam, it didn't work so Bush Sr., blew-up the Iraqis drinking-water supplies during "desert Storm", which in turn POISONED the drinking water for the Iraqi Citizens and when Saddam tried to get help through the United Nations to get the chemicals needed to purify their water suppies, BUSH SR., not Clinton , put sanctions in place against Iraq and told the UN that if anyone went against the US to help Saddam get what he needed to purify the drinking water or any other suppilies that may be needed for the Iraqis to survive, that the US would place sanctions against the ones that tried to help the Iraqi people.

I'll give Bush Sr., credit for one thing he was smart enough not to do,....... He didn't order an invasion of Iraq because he KNEW it would be a mess, a no win situation, with no sure way of leaving that country with out the cost of human-life to our troops, and he wasn't willing to chance our troops lives, like that, BUT that idiot son GW Jr., doesn't use what little brains the good Lord gave him and he jumps right in "head-first" without thinking of what his actions would cost in lives of our troops and the citizens of Iraq.

This is George Walker Bush's Vietnam that he has started, and the sad thing about it being his is, JR managed to avoid going over and actually fighting in either war

my, god, it's more serious than i thought......... pipeline? what pipeline? the man invaded Kuwait, do you not remember that?

I used to live in America although I am not an American by birth.

The problem with living in America is the incredible disadvantage people have because of the overt bias of mainstream news. As you know, television and paper media overall cannot be relied upon for truthful, balanced opinion and fact. This I have observed. It's called propaganda...

Do not just accept what you see and read at face value otherwise you will be just another brainless voice reiterating what you have been told without critical analysis. You have to question, you have to be dogged in pursuing the truth.

Mainstream America remains largely uninformed and ignorant except for those that do some serious study on the internet. If you wish to remain uninformed in these dangerous times you do so at your own peril.

Yes pipelines has been planned for the middle east, for 30 years has pipelines used to move the oil through countries in europe. Afghanistan is rich in natural gas but the taliban made it imposible for the exploration of the area.

Now new pipelines that were not possible because the problems in the middle east are going to be posible now.

A conection from Africa through the middle east in in the planning.

TextNearly 76,000 miles of gas, crude, products and other lines are underway, under contract or planned for future construction.
