They have completely opposite opinions on almost everything... The Audit the Fed stuff is about Government oversight and regulation of a private business (Something a Libertarian isn't meant to believe in btw) and that's why Kucinich likes it; Kucinich is a big government, no monopolies, pro-regulation relatively hard-left liberal.

I'm not from Ohio.....I guess the first time I hear the man speak was when he first ran for the presidency. Not sure how long ago, but it's been a while now. At that time I thought he was a nutjob due to how I perscieved his stance on some issues. He seemed to me to an extreme left wing wacko. I could not understand, similar to Pelosi and Feinstein, how in the hell the good people of their respective districts could continuously re-elect him.

I must say, however, in the recent past I have listened to him more, and have grown to repsect him for his consistantt message, and have actually found myself agreeing with him onsome issues. This being one.

Kucinich was elected Mayor of Cleveland in 1977 and served in that position until 1979.[21] At thirty-one years of age, he was the youngest mayor of a major city in the United States,[10] earning him the nickname "the boy mayor of Cleveland".[22] Kucinich's tenure as mayor is often regarded as one of the most tumultuous in Cleveland's history.[22][23] After Kucinich refused to sell Muni Light, Cleveland's publicly owned electric utility, the Cleveland mafia put out a hit on Kucinich. A hit man from Maryland planned to shoot him in the head during the Columbus Day Parade, but the plot fell apart when Kucinich was hospitalized and missed the event. When the city fell into default shortly thereafter, the mafia leaders called off the contract killer.[24]

Specifically, it was the Cleveland Trust Company that suddenly required all of the city's debts be paid in full, which forced the city into default, after news of Kucinich's refusal to sell the city utility. For years, these debts were routinely rolled over, pending future payment, until Kucinich's announcement was made public. In 1998 the Cleveland City Council honored him for having had the "courage and foresight" to stand up to the banks, which saved the city an estimated $195 million between 1985 and 1995.

en.wikipedia.org...

See how the mob and big business tried to force the government to privatise a utility?

See how NOT privatising it, under threat of death, saved the tax payer millions?

Note now how many of the Libertarians that are supporting a Kucinich/Paul ticket would have in fact been for privatising the company, (helping the mob and the banks) and costing the tax payer millions?

Note also how Kucinich believes government should STOP all monopolies. Something diametrically opposed by the US Libertarian Party.

it will either get tabled/vetoed or there is a loophole in this bill, this is too detrimental to the elites and they will do what they can do stop it.

If im wrong about that then I bet they have a huge bon fire going at the fed reserve right now

I know I posted about this already, but no one seems to have noticed. At around 1:10, he is saying " we have banks getting uncalculated amounts of money from the federal reserve, and we......" and it cuts to the next part. Does anyone know what was cut out of there?

[ Didnt i hear something about them redistricting Texas and doing the same thing to Paul if he decided to go back after the election cycle? ]

Not exactly, Texas picked up seats because of growth in the last decade. Ron Paul is a GOP member from a district near Beaumont, TX. The Texas legislature has the responsibility of setting the Congressional districts in Texas. The Democrats attempted to confuse and delay the work of the Texas Legislature by seeking the help of a Federal Court to change the district lines to favor Democrats. A majority of the Texas legislature is GOP, they would not change the lies to make it harder for one of their members.

Not exactly. The explosion in population in Texas has been primarily in Hispanic communities. The map the Texas GOP drew, which they were allowed to draw because of the population boom, stopped this new population from having any real say, but chopping it up and attaching it to large white populations, more prone to vote for the GOP; in other words it watered it down.

This watering down was done, not by a nonpartisan body, but by the TX GOP Legislature.

A lower court redrew the map, to undue some of this watering down, but they were overturned, for overstepping their powers.

TX has a horrible history of politicising redistricting. A simple google search will let you see the history.
