That doesn't mean the Muppets (LoL!) didn't know the toys were going to be pulled first and used Chik-fil-A's trouble as a cover.

Or..some rabid, homo-phobe, helicopter Mom found some teeny-tiny little harmless defect - because, really, she now hates Muppets - and wrote an outraged letter to Chik-fil-A saying she would sue if they didn't pull the toys.

I have no idea. Either way, it's stupid.

Just when ATS convinces me that false flag operations exist, and flourish all over the place, you burst my bubble by saying this couldn't possibly be a false flag operation carried out by Chick-Fil-A's opponents.

So you think someone posting online in defense of Chick-Fil-A and being exposed as some sock-puppet or at the minimum a fake account is now a "false-flag op"?

Man, we've really cheapened the phrase "false flag" haven't we? Anything and everything is just a false-flag operation. Can't find a reasonable excuse why X or Y happened? Blame it on a false-flag op.

1. Chick-Fil-A makes some PR announcement against gay marriage.
2. Jim Henson Company makes a PR announcement they will no longer work with Chick-Fil-A over said announcement.
3. Chick-Fil-A in a pique of butt-hurtness claims they are voluntarily recalling Muppet toys. Note: no public safety or consumer agency made such a recall.
4. Some sock-puppet using a stock photo shows up on FB claiming they got hurt by a Muppet toy and supports Chick-Fil-A. Fake FB account is immediately recognized for what it is.

Claiming someone is pulling a "false-flag op" on Chick-Fil-A (or the Muppets) is pretty...

Regarding the events above, someone - not saying who - is certainly not acting in a very Christian manner.

Dear Blackmarketeer,

Thanks for pointing out that I'm no longer writing clearly, I suppose you're right.

No, that's certainly not what I meant, and I doubt if that is what I said. My intention was to say that the concept of False Flags is very popular on ATS and that I was surprised that you were so sure this wasn't one. I don't know if it was, and the Huffington Post doesn't know if it was. I was surprised to see you, or anyone, say that with the information we have now that it couldn't possibly be a false flag. I can't say for sure, and I was asking why you were so sure.

But for some things we can agree on. Let me modify your four points slightly:

1. Chick-Fil-A makes some PR announcement in support of traditional marriage.
2. Jim Henson Company makes a PR announcement they will no longer work with Chick-Fil-A over said announcement.
3. Chick-Fil-A voluntarily recalls Muppet toys. Note: no public safety or consumer agency made such a recall.
4. Some sock-puppet using a stock photo shows up on FB and supports Chick-Fil-A. FB account is immediately suspected of being fake.

I may have missed something, but I think that's all we have evidence for. I don't mind people drawing conclusions or making educated guesses, heck, I believe in lots of thinks that can't be scientifically proven, but I'm reluctant too say that I know such and such is true.

Thanks. You're good to talk to and you're helping me a lot.

With respect,
Charles1952

Looking back at the fb post, Chick-fil-a should of completely ignored the fact that they were 'caught' instead of acknowledging it. Guilty conscience ? I think so. Also it seems to me that its just too much of a coincidence that a few days after the Jim Henson company says they are no longer going to form new partnerships that all the sudden there is a defect/safety issue of the Muppets toys.

While I love their waffle fries I do not see myself going back there any time soon....

This whole thing is laughable.

I was sort of amazed at all of the people actually supporting Chick-Fil-A.

Stuff like:
"Herpaderp! I'ma glad we's gots ourselfs a GOD LURVIN restaurant we can eats at!! Gawd bless Chick-fil-a! Herpaderp!"
"Finally, a company with Christian morals!"
"Good going, Chick-fil-a! I know where I'm eating tonight! Bibles!!"

Lol... that is all.

Typical religious nuts. It's never their fault always someones else's. I would have more respect for them if they would just admit that the muppets don't like their anti gay stance and therefore the muppets have left the building.

Huh?

bet you would kill/waste/maime anything related to christianity, wouldnt you...

typical pot calling the kettle a retard.... thats all.

You peoples hatred never seems to amaize me.

I dont know what all the hubbub is about. It's a free country, currently still, and people can do/say whatever they want to without requiring anyone else to get involved.

The Chicken place... Big deal. It's their right. Boycot the muppets.
Muppets ... Big deal... It's their right to say and do whatever they want based on their own beliefs. There isnt a person on this earth who should have the right to try and take that from us.

Big wopping deal. So the muppet people dont like gay promoters, and gay promoters dont like gay bashers. What's the big deal here? Problem solved... move on your way already. Nothing to see here...

unless you people actually want something to come out of this. If it does, it'll be just as childish as the people that want action taken here.

Dont forget, we do still have rights, last I checked. It wasnt all taken just yet, but seeing this thread.... It's funny how many people here would actually like to see some kind of communistic policed state. That's a given.

because they dont support gay marriage?

Priceless!

Personaly, I like their nuggets. I wont stop buying them because I might believe gays should be married, when I stand on the other side of that fence.

I mean.. arnt the muppets anti gay, also? It's a christian company.

Chick F, arnt this guys supporting gay rights?

So if you dont see the stupidity and confusion here... wow...

Christian company wont partner with fast food cause fast food is against gay marriage? huh?
Fast Food for Gay people is all ok with all but gay marriage... huh??

I dont know what's more ignorant... The basis these people state their beliefs or the confusion oxymoron of a manner in which both sides decide to stand on..

I dont even have real words for this ignorance. How does this make any sense? And who gives a bloody hell anyways. Is it life or death? Will it make or break someone? Will it give or take life?

no..? so what the hell is the problem?! Nevermind... It's people just being... people.

The muppets aren't anti-gay. They are supporting everyone. And I'm not just going to stop eating there because they don't support gay marriage. *also I haven't been there in years so its not like they've been getting my business all this time* Its the fact that they are lying about the toys and supporting anti-gay programs. They could of done the "Christian" thing and kept handing out the toys until their contract was up. That was just the icing on the cake for me. So no, its not just because they don't support gay marriage.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
The chain of events was.
Chick Fil A recalled the toys aand then The Henson released there PR statement. I googled the dates and it looks like it happened on the 19th and 20th of July.
As for the fake facebook account who has assecc to the account info and share here on ATS? So i will have to assume the account was not created by someone at Chick Fil A.
