Would you donate to a charity that helped fund the building of a Lunar Observatory. What would give if your donation was tax delectable. If a puppy in a shelter is worth $20 a month, is not finding out if we are alone worth our help.
We can help build our pyramid. Their plan allows for anyone to go and have accommodations. And an eye on the sky,
Would you donate as a Earthling wanting an answer?

Greetings, and no I wouldn't. There are plenty of observatories out there now without me wasting my hard earned money so someone can build another one.

All you need is my credit card number and the last four digits of my SS number, right?

1. This is the introductions forum and your post is not an introduction.
2. I am not sure what tax delectable is. Deductible is the word you were looking for.
3. What does a puppy in a shelter costing $20 have to do with choosing to give to a charity on space observation.

Attention to detail is something you should think about on this site. If you don't, chances are, the other members are going to tear your posts apart as I exampled above.

P.S. Welcome to ATS

I asked a simple question, not for money.
I asked this just to see if people really wanted to start moving beyond Earth.

If everyone on the planet who could afford to gave $10, we could have a moon base. We could have people of science living on the moon. Studying the stars, finding out if we are alone.

What I learned today is that as a people, we wouldn't even be willing to spend $1 to make it happen. We would buy ourselves trinkets to be thrown away the next day. But completely unwilling to put that same money into something bigger than any of that.

We can wait around for governments to build a military base on the moon, or we as a species can put something like a telescope there. Our version of the Great pyramids.
It would be the cause of pride for people all over the world, from all walks of life. To look up at the moon and say We made that. Not this government or that country.....We did it, Jews and Christians, Muslims and Hindus, everyone came together as Human Beings and accomplished the greatest feat ever undertaken.

No it was not your money I wanted, it was to know your heart. How disappointing it is to know that your curiosity is naught. That to explore beyond our world and to have humans living on another seeking knowledge for all mankind is not even worth a couple dollars to you.
It was just a question, nothing more

Pan handling??? I am not asking for anything.
I am asking only to find out if even the ability to deduct something from taxes would be enough to get people to partake in a grand plan..Humans living on the moon.
No Sir, I ask for no money only to see if people really see value in space exploration.
If all we are willing to do is shoot some gocarts and cameras out into space, and not willing to hire someone to help us take the next step we are not really moving forward.
And yes it could be tax deductible. Donate to a university that is a tax write off. All universities would jump at the chance to be part of a Lunar Telescope if the funding was there.
I for one would give freely to those who are trying to take us to the next step, and as long as progress is being made would continue to support an effort like this

You came to all that based on 3 posts? Maybe due to the fact that this is in the wrong forum that people aren't even bothered to reply due to the fact that this thread will be closed soon anyway. Maybe if you followed the rules and made your 20 posts in order to post in the CORRECT forum you would be received better and have a lot more replies on topic. Just a thought for you. It's just too bad those that did reply don't recognize this as well. But hey you could get lucky and the mods might move it to the right forum, but in my opinion you are not off to a good start in following directions.
