I believe it was his defense minister. He said they would not use wmd on their own population, but would against foreign invaders.

It's not interesting because many people KNOW whats coming and how it's going to go down as much as 2 years ago

tell us something we don't know because it appears the American public are behind in international news

I have a request for anybody following this closely.

Please let me know if you see anything about the use of stadiums/sports centers as staging grounds/holding centers.

The US did it during ww2, and many other countries have done it since, or are doing it now.

thread; "The sports facilities are the detention/relocation camps..." ?

I don't know anything about this source or what bias it might hold, I'm just showing this as one example of many...

Syria Regime Holds Hundreds Prisoner in Latakia Soccer Stadium

August 17, 2011

Syrian troops continue to attack civilian areas across the northern port city of Latakia today, and reports are growing that the soccer stadium which they ordered civilians into earlier this week has become a makeshift prison camp.

According to one resident, the military has been bussing dissidents arrested across the city, including people detained at random, to the Sports City complex. What happens once they are inside is unclear.

The regime’s navy attacked the port this weekend, killing at least 31 people, and on Monday troops ordered everyone out of a key protest neighborhood, saying it was going to be destroyed and that they should all relocate to the stadium...

Well now that the Olymics are history, the UK and France are scheduled to move their naval tasks forces to the Eastern med.

Watch this space...

There is alot of chatter in Isreal of an impending attack on Iran. www.spacedaily.com...

Talk of a possible military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities dominated the Israeli press on Friday, a day after Defence Minister Ehud Barak said the issue had become more "urgent."

The Egyptian sacking of the defence minister, the Sinai attack, add to the tension.

Syria has become the Lebannon from the 80's, with proxy wars being fought while Isreal looks on from the Golan heights.

September looks to be a month to remember. Time will tell.

And just to add more spark for the flame;

Russian Warships Head to Mediterranean

A Russian joint naval flotilla has arrived in the Mediterranean after missing a planned visit to a Russian Black Sea port, a defense ministry source said on Monday.

A group of Russian warships and support ships from Russia’s Northern, Baltic and Black Sea fleets is currently in the Med, sailing west past Italy, after conducting live fire 'excercises' in the Central Mediterranean.

Maybe the UK and France will have a Slavic escort courtesy of the Land of Rus.
