See .. I couldn't follow the books. Too many characters being named .. too many small characters coming in and out of the story ... etc etc. The TV show put faces to the names and so I could keep track of it better. I may go back and retry the books now that I can actually see faces to go with the names. I might be able to keep everyone straight now.

I'm reading the books, but glad I watched the show. One of the key problems in the books is that many characters have VERY similar names, and it is easy to get confused. Having the faces to put there helps. Still though, I hope the show continues to focus on some primary characters as it has been, and try not to be off too many places at once. Right now, a lot of different story lines...need to tighten it up...

King's Landing - King and Queen Regent, Tyrion, Sansa

Beyond the Wall - John Snow, the White Walkers, and the King Beyond the Wall

Storm's End - King Stannis and his Red Priestess

The Battlefield - Rob Starke

The Journey - Brienne (sp?) and Jaimie

Winterfell - Bran

On the Road -Arya

A lot of little sub-plots.
