I think it'd be a prudent move to start locking threads where the OP is asking for health advice from ATS, especially when it's something that clearly should be treated by a professional, like this. Looking for medical advice online is a bad idea to begin with, and asking a conspiracy forum (especially when the OP is clearly mentally ill) is a worse one.

I would take ATS advice over a "doctor" most days of the week.

At least until I can find another one that is not a damn pill fanatic....

Well some things out there are going against "the system".

In fact Mr. Chong of Cheech and Chong fame has decided to treat
his cancer with the method mentioned in the film "Run from the Cure".

The government has tried to sue one caner doctor into oblivion several
times but he keeps winning his trials due mostly to former patients.

He made a film called "Burzynski the movie".

Another film called "The beautiful truth" shows yet another method.

As another post here on ATS talks about using blood root to treat skin cancer.

It has become clear that that government lies in many cases, and
it has become clear the corporations lie quite a bit as well.

So with the two largest entities on the planet lying their backends off,
who is one to trust ???

I'd say trust results, and talk to prior patients, and tread carefully.

The guy who keeps winning his court cases again the government should
make all ppl sit up and take notice.

If he is a fraud he should not be winning...

By all means, lets not allow sound minded membership to talk about health matters with one another.

I mean, if you are going to lock one you lock all of them. And our little corner of free speech gets that much smaller as you add "medical issues" to the list of things that can't seem to be discussed on ATS without initiating a thread closure. I might as well be in school or something.

I think you're wrong.

Many, many treatment centers for a variety of illnesses both physical and mental will advise a person to seek out a discussion group. Isn't ATS the ultimate discussion group?

On top of that, most good doctors will also encourage a patient to do some research, and if they find anything interesting, bring it back and discuss it with the doctor. Healthcare and Medicine is changing by the minute, and no doctor knows everything out there, so the doctors should be encouraging their patients to do some research on their own, and bringing back suggestions to the doc. Nobody knows what is going on with your body and mind better than you do, but you may not know how to describe it so the doctor can understand. With research and discussion, hopefully you and the doctor can get on the same page, and find a diagnosis and a treatment that works.

Nothing wrong at all with discussing things on ATS.

I find it mildly alarming that since the approach of the US national election, and the escalation of industry-sponsored political efforts to control the internet, we here at ATS appear to have been repeatedly confronted with a stream of "Let us not talk about" topics.

It's disconcerting to think that the "creep" of boundaries is taking tiny baby-steps closing in around us.

Whenever I participate in any thread regarding medical knowledge or treatment I try to diligently remind everyone that our forum is no substitute for a medical professional's opinion....

... but I still maintain that it is an outstanding supplement to the knowledge-base that the medical professional may share with you. There is no doubt that some are either innocently or arrogantly ignorant of, deceitfully concealing, or simply too distracted by commerce to pursue.

It's terribly ironic that actors who "play" a doctor in a movie or on TV have more clout and influence on medical advertising than the collective experience of hundreds of thousands with first-hand experience dealing with maladies...
