Wow, this is a new one on me. But the more I think about it, the less I'm surprised that this thing happened.
The dream world is vastly richer than the physical world. If anything it does not have any boundaries in all dimensional aspects. I have been drunk, stoned, tired, ecstatic, enlghtened in many of my dreams, so having a black-out in a dream isn't so unusual I suppose.
I agree with SplitInfinity - these experieces you've had sound more like lucid dreams - not your regular passive dream.

Like I can't keep my eyes open as I move about or experience waves of blindness and blackness. It isn't exactly like "blacking out" but that I'd have to navigate around in the dream while blind or unable to see clearly.
It was almost like dreaming that I was blind. Very weird to say the least.

Yes this has happened to me and it is a very weird sensation. Lately, when it happens there is a complete change of scenery and context when I wake up from the blackout in the dream. There is sort of like a flash from a camera and then everything goes black for a few seconds in between each change. Sometimes I know I am dreaming and this makes it even weirder.

This will probably sound a bit strange but I remember having a dream where I was dreaming in the dream.
I was able to control the dream but not the dream I was dreaming
If that makes sense.
If you have had it happen you would understand I think.

Just a thought maybe a blackout could be associated for you with the this band or it music. It is more typical for me to not remember my dreams at all

I start meditating a lot in dreams. Its wierd, IT instantly brings me into a state of deeeeeeeeep mediation. Its insanely spiritual and i dont know why it happens but it does once in a while. I don't even meditate anymore.

Thank you for the reply, I enjoyed reading it.
I did not have any alcohol to drink before I had these dreams so that's not it. I am worried it is a medical issue though. I really hope not.
I am totally for meditation and even thought about meditating to try and recall the blacked out parts of those dreams.I have not, but will probably do that when I have the proper time.
