Hello ATS fellows, I wanted to share my case of bad luck that I got. It all started happening on Thursday. It all started from wanting to get a new Virgin Mobile phone. But that never ended up happening. I went to Walmart and browsed at all the Virgin phones that they had in store. I asked one of the counter ladies if I could take a look at the Virgin Mobile Phones. One lady who was working there said she couldn't access the code to set me up on Virgin Mobile, she didn't have the code with her. She said that I would have to come back in tomorrow, so that she could then set me up for it. She was then like or, I could set you up with a great deal on Koodo! So without thinking I was enticed by the plans that Koodo that she had to offer, and I ended up making the switch. Everything seemed okay for the first while, but something wasn't settling good in my stomach. So I ended up calling Virgin and explained that I switched over to Koodo, and I was wondering if I'm gonna still receive bill payments from Virgin they said I would have this monthly bill to pay this month and there will be a final bill after in August. (Since Virgin Mobile needs a 30 day notice on cancellations.) (Oh and there was also a 400 dollar evacuation fee prize since I was under their 3 year contract.) I didn't want to pay that 400 dollars! They advised me to take back the phone of where I got it from and cancel the phone. So I did just that, thankfully I got no cancellation fee on Koodo! So I phoned Virgin Mobile Customer Care and mentioned that I cancelled my phone with Koodo and that I want to reactivate my Virgin Mobile account. Well that didn't happen, they couldn't access my account because it was suspended due to the Walmart lady deactivating my virgin account, from switching over. So They said that I would need to make an entirely new account and that they could port my same number over to the new phone. So I'm gonna end up doing that today when the store opens up.

The whole thing sucked, I couldn't think anymore, I ended up confused in knowing what to do. I kept making the wrong decsions I felt like a total idiot explaining of what happened! :'( Even to my friends, there was one that I'm supposedly going out on a date on Wednesday, but I wonder if she is taking me seriously anymore or getting sick of my bad luck situation.

What I should've done was simply go to the Virgin Mobile store to just get a new phone and have them activate it for me. I have a bad feeling that I might end up paying the 400 dollars, and signing under a new 3 year contract!

I'll admit, the whole phone world is overwhelming to me.

Luckily, I have a few friends who are huge phone gurus. I brought one of them with me when making my last upgrade, and I haven't had many problems outside of Sprint's sketchy 4G (which used to rock).

The moral of the story is do not be afraid to bring an "expert" with you when making a purchase for a home, car, computer, phone, basically anything pricy that you're not familiar with...
