Why today's movies suck

The hypocrisy of allowing naked men but not naked women in movies, to me, marks Hollywood off as a bunch of retarded morons.

But that aside, another thing that much irritates me with Hollywood is all the god-damn remakes. Not only do they do remakes of old movies like Total Recall, but they also make their own, crappy versions of foreign movies, like the Swedish Millenium thingy, and Hongkong/Japanese cinema. In a way, it's as if Hollywood is saying, "We can do this much better". "Alrighty, let's do it!". Of course, they can't, and it turns to utter crap, but it's also like a slap in the face of the original film, whether it's a contemporary foreign movie, or an old American movie like Total Recall. Hollywood needs some fresh blood and new imagination, seriously. Hollywood, you suck!

As long as people continue forking over $20/movie or $20/dvd then movies are going to continue on this trend. The 3D thing is what totally amazes me. $12 for a pair of god-awful glasses that don't fit, don't work right, to watch a movie that is just over an hour long. Final Destination 3D anyone?

I quit movies a long time ago. I think it was about the time of that crappy Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis, save the world from a meteor thing. I rediscovered something that as a child I couldn't get enough of....a good book. Anyways...boobs in movies=terrible flick...no if's and's or but's. So tired of a movie having to have a set of breasts in them. In fact, I'm sick of the overly sexual suggestions in movies these days...that are rated PG-13 and under. It's quite disgusting. And yes I'm a male...33 this year. If I want to see some nudity....gosh, there's the internet...since magazines are crap nowadays anyway!

I like boobs and some nudity.

But I feel if the movie is all about the nudity it might as well be porn.

I prefer story over boobs.

What? The three boob chick is in the remake...... Right before he goes to recall, she points him to where it is after propositioning him. Maybe they edited it out for where ever you live, but I just saw triboob lady like 20 mins ago lol.

When I want to watch a movie now I always go for something from the 70s or 80s. In my opinion that is a golden era for Hollywood movies. Maybe it my age, but, just seems like more imaginative. Today ts all about rehashing old ideas, big noisy films or lame comedies or chick flicks.

Check out the older movies for ones you might have missed.

Lack of boobs aside, the biggest problem with today's movies are why they were made in the first place. It used to be that you would make a film to show the audience something they haven't seen before.

Now, most films being released can be classified as either a Remake, Sequel or Adaptation. Where is the originality?

Originality abounds in the indy film world. Film making doesn't need big studios anymore; the indy films are exploding and I'm glad to be a part of it here in tamalewood.

Today's movies are bad because the people writing the scripts for them and the people acting in them have no talent.

All the great actors and writers are now over 60 or dead.

This is an amazingly untrue statement. It's one thing if you don't enjoy new movies, it's another thing to pretend that there is no one under the age of 60-year-old acting or writing who is of worth. I don't know what movies you've been watching, but I think you've been watching the wrong ones.

I'm not talking about indies and the like. I'm talking about mainstream crap. Indies and foreign films continue to delight.

Are you 16 years old? If you want to see tits, then watch porn. Not all movies that come out today suck, just the ones from Hollywood.

Ya, I have noticed there are less tits and more pricks. I've also noticed how much more gayness is being not just openly discussed, which is fine, but it seems like its being PUSHED. And pushed all over the place. It's like everything is turning into something overtly homosexual when it doesn't need to be. It's obvious an agenda.
