BBC news homepage down

Can anyone confirm this?
BBC news homepage seems to have gone down with internal error 500 ??

I've been reloading the page several times but still nothing.
I've never seen this happen to the BBC.. they're always on..


Has this something to do with the kill switch and/or the shutdown servers in the US the other day?
Has the BBC suffered the same fate as the banking system did the other week?

Still can't get it to load correctly..

No, Anonymous didn't hack their website.

Its down for me on virgin media but given their inter network connections are normally made using tin cans and string it wouldnt suprise me that theres some balls up on their network

Another system down..

Tens of thousands of O2 customers have lost voice and data services across the UK due to a problem with the network.

The mobile firm said that it had begun experiencing issues "at lunchtime" on Wednesday.

GiffGaff and Tesco Mobile subscribers - who also make use of O2's masts - have also been affected.

How and why are so many systems crashing lately? Or are we just getting a spate of reports on a similar vein?

Is there some kind of bug floating around? Something wrong with our entire electrical network due to solar activity?

Dunno, but we might see more of this, if so, then we might have to be ready for a blackout..

NOW the bbc is down for me... anyone else? i just did it on the downforeveryoneelseorjustme site and it seems down. very unusual for the bbc site!
