It is imperative that you cross reference information because there is a vast quantity of complete fiction masquerading as "the truth". ATS used to have a majority of people who questioned things. These days you either believe in the nonsense posted about a conspiracy or you are labelled a government agent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over the years with my ever increasing digging into each conspiracy that comes along I have come to the conclusion that those in power are MORE stupid and MORE accident prone than the average man in the street. It is the mechanisms of power, state etc and the need to "keep looking good" that prevents this truth from being laid bare for all to see. However, the current banking crisis is waking some people up to that boring (from a conspiracy point of view) conclusion. The worlds problems are cock-ups and ass-covering excercises!

Have to somewhat agreed with a few of your points, especially with the behaviour of the mods that borders on being "power-hungry and insane" and how they handle this forum. Deleting complete topics without even saying what the reason is, is a very bad behaviour and ATS is the only forum on the whole internet who does that.

I also learned that there are a lot of paranoid people out there, who i'm imagine to be so afraid of "TPTB", UFOs, Ghosts, Demons and other unrealistic crap that they don't even leave their house anymore.
Some here really need some professional help, because it's scary what they write, how they think "the world works" and reporting about dreams being real, that they have ghosts and demons in their houses and whatnot.

But i also did learn some interesting facts, some historical things, if you can survive through all the "saw a light in the sky, was a ufo" and "god exists" crap, you can find some interesting topics

I have learned, that while there are many "far out there" posts, which are usually the most fun reads, that one thing I can count on continually...is to see news here first that the MSM does not pick up on for weeks...cannot tell you how many times I have read a post, then a week or 2 later see the same topic on the msm sites...and that I find very interesting.

very wise and comical pics. I admire the truth and honesty. I can relate to many of them. The purpose of my thread was to bring the people out in the open to be atleast true to themselves upto certain extent and reflect back upon their threads and posts cumulatively to identify a pattern of behavioural and thinking changes. Its nothing more than reflecting back upon ourselves and re-evaluate.

Yep. I noticed that a lot too. I know there are legitimate data mining companies that scrape screens with more fancy tools including addressing the links on a website. Wonder if the MSM employs such tools to ensure that they are the first one to televise a piece of news first in their industry etc.

I have learned that a large number of people are troubled by my belief in God and Jesus. Even more so, they are troubled that many people profess faith in God and Jesus.

They constantly challenge the science, history, logic, and proof of our faith. More than a few insult us, berate us, belittle us, ...

They charge that we are hypocrites, murders, weak minded and subject to control... I've yet to see what control... I'd pretty much live like I do now... just more iritable and selfish... not as nice. But see, that is the wonder and power of Jesus... to help me mend my selfish ways... I could not do it by myself.

I guess that means I have less will power than some.. OK.

And even though they are more enlightened and stronger than me and my "fake" God... they still feel threatened by our faith. Constantly they challenge the Bible with some new fact or study or archeological find only to be countered by a new fact or study or archeological find supporting the Bible.

It seems OK to believe in StarGates, Vampires, Werewolves, Aliens, Greys, UFOs, Illuminati, Bilderburgs, NWO, Alex Jones, Art Bell, Face on Mars, Allah, Buddah, Krishna, Atlantis, Germans in Antarktika or Mars... Allister Crowley, ancient Aliens, but God or Jesus... nope... can't have that.

"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved".(Matt 10:22)

Rest easy friend, if the world was not is such chaos then the bible would not have foundations.

IMO, Revelations is alive and well and coming soon to a town near you.

Stay watchful of the signs and remain vigilant !!

I joined ATS hoping to find a community of people like me. I did not. ATS reafirmed to me once again that I'm just not like most people. I've learn't some facinating things, nothing life changing tthough. I've entered into a few "discussions" and as far as I'm aware my comments have effected no one. I like to surf ATS to try to fill the void in my otherwise meningless existance.

I wish that we were more accepting of each other. More accepting of our differences and more aware of our similarities...

Just curious, no lashing out here, I just want to know what people would need in order to be like you? Are you college educated or a high school dropout? Over 21 or between 40 and 70? Married or single? Extrovert or introvert?

There are certain variables, when looking for people like you, that you would need to consider. I don't know why it is, but different age groups (different levels of maturity) make us look at the world in a different light. Odds are that a fifty year old will have nothing in common with a teenager. Also, I've heard it said that someone with an I.Q. that is 20 points higher than another person, it's like an adult talking to a child.

I'm just saying don't beat yourself up because of your unique perspective on life. Odds are, (if you are full of curiosity and a strong desire to learn) that perspective will change as you age. Sooner of later you'll fit into a group.

That is indeed the key. The enthusiasm and eagerness to learn no matter what from any and all modes of life. Patience and persistence is the key....even on ATS

I have learned there's good people every where. Bad people too. You can get good advice here, and then you can get silly advice. You can get schooled pretty quick in subjects "you" think your knowledgable in. I've learned what the rest of the world thinks about America. We are the worlds bully.

I've learned that being cival is a basic criteria for being on ATS. Get your panties in a wad & the mods will take you down. Take your points, ban you. Staying cival, even when some one really pissed you off, will take you further than screaming and yelling with all caps.

It's pretty simple really, ATS like real life. Treat folks the way you want to be treated. With respect, class, decorum. civility. Cause when it all shakes out. We are all the same, black, white, green red & yellow. We are humans, with human wants & needs. Plus I get really good recipes from the food forum!!!

Hmm what have I learned...

1. I learned that DoomTards are people too.
2. That people will make up ANYTHING to fight.
3. That a lot of people live behind their monitors and never experience certain things but sure have an opion on it.
4. That being an American I am a lot more hated than I thought I was.. for no real reason.
5. I learned which one Shinola is.

I have learned:

1) I may be half alien as I have o neg blood--however, I probably can't be cloned, get AIDS, or catch that mutant zombie virus

2) the word "American" holds a lot of negative connotations

3) eating meat now scares the hell out of me

4) there is a TON of great news and information out there that is typically not reported on our news...even good stuff like medical breakthroughs and major current events.

And5) I enjoy playing "three word story" with total strangers

I just got here so there is a lot more to learn....

I've learned that when I post a picture of something in the sky and ask others what they think is is . . .I am then accused of saying I have a pic of a ufo, and because there's some digital squares that appear as white boxes when zoomed greatly.

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think I've ever edited any of the information the camera created when I took the pic. As for time of day and all, well, it was the afternoon.

At any rate, I have learned that ATS in not the venue for intelligent conversation, no matter the topic or situation. I have learned that people will always be subject to a "the sky is falling" mentalities, which seem to appear as mass hysteria. And believe me, I it takes a lot, but when everyone thinks they're seeing two moons or two sons, when incidents such as these have been both observed and recorded, thus indicating we're witnessing a natural phenomenon. I've learned that all one has to do is post an introduction, and they're soon after overly critical of that person's intentions.

I've learned that if you don't play the ATS game properly, you are considered a DISINFO Agent.

Most of all, what I have learned that people join ATS to deny ignorance, and too many of the new members become subject to queries of intention.

As well, ATS has, and always will, be subject to people who have adopted the same heirarchy that is considered misspelled by the AboveNetwork.

Oh, maybe I just bummed the thread.

Allow me to counter-argue.

I've learned that it is more than great to be able to share every day, and other types, of life experiences.

I've learned that there really are great people out there who care about others, unconditionally.

I've learned that the newer generations have been pelted with an amount of disinfo that they wish for the '50s to return so that they bury their heads in sand.

I've learned that ATS has generated a world-wide influence that can NEVER be erased.

I've learned that no matter how many times an event may occur, there's always someone to tell you it never happened. . .which can sometimes be good.

I've learned that ATS has bridged so many people, that one might consider the AT in ATS might be the AT in FATE. (just above top, divine)

7 years and counting......hmmmmm, let's see.......

I've learned that I am incapable of learning...........(aw sh1t)

I've learned more about the various computer functions that can help get my point across

I've learned that, sometimes, in order to keep something together, you have to leave it alone

I've learned that that works on more levels then I could possibly have imagined.

I've learned more about politics and the media

I've learned more about music and the real power it can have

I've learned that time is a funny thing

I've learned more about how writing really can help advance your life

I've learned that there is more than one way to remain anonymous

I've learned the true meaning of the saying "Exile on Main Street"

I've learned that one reason my generation and newer ones are different is because of the way we learn to communicate with each other at an early age. Online vs.off.

I've learned that to fully understand the upcoming generation, you need to learn that.

I've learned how understanding that the internet is not the whole world, just one component that connects it quite well, is very important in understanding how the world works in 2012.

I've learned how talking to people from different countries can afford you that knowledge.

I've learned better how to use different methods of speech in communicating with different types of people.

I've learned how talking to different people over the internet can afford you the patience to do that because you're not dealing with them one on one in real time.

I've learned that my old views about women have to change in order for me to change.

I've learned that by allowing myself to do that I become more complete as a man.

I've learned that Saudi Arabia is a very bizarre country

I've learned that more people from Australia like conspiracies then I gave them credit for

I've learned just how anal I can really be about grammatical errors

I've learned how interspersing light-hearted comments into something serious can help keep a conversation alive.(F*$%ng Boncho
)

I've learned that there's an exception to every rule.
