Sometimes when I just copy the URL address to the website, a last little bit gets taken off by ATS, thus rendering the link useless to people who want to follow the source. I usually don't press, the LINK button, to add a title onto the URL, but I didn't think this was necessary. If this is necessary it should be clearly stated because again, it happens on some links but not all. I am guessing it happens on links with numbers on the end of it.

I'll try to find an example:

althistory.wikia.com...(Al_Gore%27s_9/11)

VS.

Operation Mountain Fury

One way doesn't work, the other way, does. What's up with that?

Cause your link is bad.

The first one doesn't have an actual page associated with the end of the link.

Scroll over both links, you'll notice the URL is different for both. The one that works has the proper URL link the one that is cut off ( the first one ) is missing information.

Special characters are often cut off by most boards due to the coding involved I believe, it's always best to use the URL tags to copy the entire URL to prevent any problems.

That's exactly what I was wondering. Why does this happen? I didn't post it like that ATS cut off the end of the link. But when you use the tagging method it works fine. I just copied and past the URL and put it up there.

I'm not the one making the page get cut!
