Newly released documents show warnings before 911 attacks

So this is rather interesting apparently documents have been released on document cloud stating that the us did have major warnings for the 911 attacks but chose not to act on it

Could 9/11 have been prevented? Up until now the common sentiment was that the 9/11 attacks came as a complete shock to the U.S., which had no idea that the devastation that happened on September 11, 2001 was going to occur. However, a trove of documents have been released concerning Osama bin Laden and terrorist attacks that paints an alarming picture that President Bush had actually been warned of an imminent attack, but had chosen to ignore the warnings.

The CIA documents are newly declassified and have been released to the National Security Archive. The documents are available to read on DocumentCloud, a document uploading site that gives users access to extensive information about organizations, people and places. The highly damning documents provide readers with a clearer account of U.S. knowledge about the possibility of its country being attacked, which blatantly contradicts claims made by Bush officials, that the U.S. government was aggressively pursuing bin Laden and al-Qaida prior to 9/11 and that nobody could have predicted the 9/11 attacks. From June until August 2001 a series of documents made clear reference to bin Laden, and his associates impending attack on the U.S.Two days earlier a Senior Executive Intelligence Brief stated under a sub-heading, “International: Bin Laden Attacks May be Imminent”,Multiple reports indicate that extremists expect Bin Laden to launch attacks over the coming days, possibly against US or Israeli interests.”
On June 30 2001, another document warned that Bin Laden was ‘Planning High-Profile Attacks’:Operative linked to Usama Bin Laden’s organization expect the near-term attacks they are planning to have dramatic consequences, such as major causalities.” Preceding documents talk of bin Ladens’ attack being delayed but not cancelled, with the last of the CIA briefs, written on August 7, 2001 warning that Bin Laden is ‘Determined to Strike in the US”, and that:A service reported that Bin Laden was planning to exploit an operative’s access to the US to mount a terrorist strike.”

So this pretty mutch confirms two things One is the fact that our leaders are morons and it also confirms the advanced warnings theory maybe in the future lack of preprness for the attacks will go down as one of history biggest mistakes

Why would bush deliberately ignore such warnings probably to start his war with Iraq

So why would the Bush administration choose to ignore warnings that bin Laden was about to attack the country with assaults that were planned to have ‘dramatic consequences’? One suggestion made on Liveleak.com is that Bush was informed of imminent strikes, but simply ignored them because he was so determined to go to war in Iraq, and wanted any excuse he could get. Talking about how damning the documents would be to the Bush administration, Barbara Elias-Sanborn, of NSA – the one who edited the material – said:I don’t think the Bush administration would want to see these released, because they paint a picture of the CIA knowing something would happen before 9/11, but they didn’t get the institutional support they needed.”

Government incompetence is part of the official story, so it is appropriate to release these kinds of reports to the public and blame Bin Laden. It still does not explain how WTC7 fell demolition style or many other inconsistencies that are still covered up by secret classifications.

I read loads of these threads about how many warnings there were before 9/11 about Al-Qa’ida’s intentions to attack America but I never see any of you posting a thread about a memo to the president saying “19 hijackers associated with Bin Laden plan to fly planes into word trade canter on 9/11/01”

Why?

Because such a memo or warning does not exist, all they had was some very vague information about Bin Laden plotting attacks they had no specifics no target, no location not even a whisper hinting at what was going to happen and where. Sure it is possible to be highly critical of the war between America and Al-Qa’ida prior to 9/11 and point out the intelligence blunders and missed opportunities to take out Bin Laden before 9/11 but you will never be able to show me a document that prove “they” knew about the attacks before they happened.

I think you're spot on with this. As the lid starts to come off this crock of [SNIP], they are going to need to have a fall guy. The spin doctors are working overtime at NatGeo and the 'History' channel trying to cement their lies about that day, but they may have to throw somebody under the bus, to deflect attention away from the real culprits. Just because it's been ten years, doesn't mean we're going to stop asking for the answers we deserve.

Because such a memo or warning does not exist, all they had was some very vague information about Bin Laden plotting attacks they had no specifics no target, no location not even a whisper hinting at what was going to happen and where. Why should anyone post a thread about a memo that doesn't exist? you're making a case up, to knock it down.

It is well known that the offical bluster is one of supposed incompetence, and lack of information sharing on the part of the CIA, that the CIA did know of of an attack plan by OBL, and that the FBI did not know that the CIA knew that those suspected in the plan were on American soil... that's already officially admitted. That an attack was imminent, is also known and admitted, is also official and subject to mainstream media documentary. George Tenet put it together in 5 minutes at his breakfast table on the morning of 9/11, how effing vague is that!

The net result of official incompetence is that very few heads will roll, that ten years on plus, proves to be true however, it also shows that the PR men have failed miserably in their exercise, because no one in their right mind believes the official story post 9/11, given the real intelligence that both FBI and CIA did have about the same people, you just cannot know about people and ignore them at the same time.
