The Hidden Messages Within Music

With approximately six more months to go, it is about time I start putting some threads up in here. We all know that artists make music for money & what not. We all think what is the message this person is trying to get across to everyone. There are the bad ones which I do not want to get into specific music genres, but there are good ones as well. Now for djs its specifically how they mix a certain playlist they put together. Listen carefully to all the vocals & just think. A great example of these so called hidden messages can be heard through this progressive house set I mixed incidentally yesterday morning. This is a 2 hours & 22 minutes long set so no rush.
I only have one agenda in whatever time we have left which is to spread good mood through some good music as my set titles state.

Can you explain what it is that this Mix is messaging in words?

Not every track I mixed in this set has a called hidden message but if you can distinguish the tracks which do & overall get what they are trying to get us to do then congratulations!

The quick & short response is don't conform to what society expects from you, be aware of everything but nothing, despite what an individual may say is not necessarily true. Love & live life. The list goes on and on. Their is even a a brief history lesson told which someone "incidentally" posted in another thread which I "coincidentally" happened to read earlier. Something isn't right here
Im sorry but have to get some sleep now. So for now Im concluding by stating. Everything is Connected & Everything Happens for a Reason.

Im throwing this one in if anyone hears it. Which also happens to be a very helpful tip "no complaining" The last thing people want to hear on such a stressful year as 2012 is complaining.

You are completely missing the point. First of all nobody really knows what is going to happen. Secondly the date signifies a deadline. The question is what are you going to do between now & that date grow into becoming a better person or do the opposite?

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK! Just to inform YOU, I am a dj & an audio engineer I have mixed/recorded tracks, mixes, sets etc. and for your information whenever we produce tracks we do not leave out anything whatsoever. Every vocal You hear or think you hear well. I was going to tell but I think Im locking this thread now.

Thank you ATS for resolving that issue & everything else. As I was just getting into my subject of hidden messages or the subliminal effect you have to first understand that the brain hears what it wants to hear. You first have to "evolve". Now with that out of the way, some messages are recorded & altered. They are usually placed at important/ focal points of the track & are repeated many times throughout the track. Also some are given an extremely low volume level & strategically placed behind an instrument track or bass line track. The first time I noticed it & thought I heard a certain word, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me. I wasn't until I studied audio engineering that I thought that was a possibility.

I personally think that you are just trying to push up the play count of your mix, for whatever reason could that be. Hiding voices behind instrument tracks? Really? The way you speak about it shows that, as most DJs do, all you know about music and studio production is pressing play and counting to 4, which is all you need to be a DJ.

My verdict: cheap shot at attention whoring. Learn to play an instrument.

OH lord, hey guys! heres is another one. First of all I do apologize about how your life is so unimportant/ meaningless that you have nothing else better to do than to call me what you did. If I wanted a higher play count there are soo many other sites where I can place or promote my set on, but I haven't. If I had just been pressing play then you can actually listen to the mistakes I made while mixing which I did & was recorded just to show everyone "I AM HUMAN" I do make mistakes & there is no need to hide my imperfections just to show how "Great" I am. Again before you nasty whatever the hell you want to call yourself empty sack of a human body want to call yourself, THINK before you write. Another TRUELY pathetic chance for the "other" trying to bring me down. Ladies & Gentlemen with that I provide you tears of sarcasm!

This is just the beginning of Greater things to come for those with faith. I now understand who I am.

Hey I want everyone to see what this unintelligent thing wrote. Now Let me remind everyone when you want to play a dvd movie on a dvd player, what button do you press? play same thing goes for music as far as mixing a set goes there is a lot skill required along with track research & knowledge, lopping 1 beat, 2 beats or 3 beats at specific points & yes just the play button at the right moment along with changing equalization, volume, & effect levels. Doing all that along with cue points to make something sound perfect is not a requirement. Im not afraid to show I make mistakes & these sets I "built & construct" are not perfect. Why, because in humanity we are creatures of imperfection, & our imperfections make us the individuals who we are. Own It, Live it, Love it.

The music of choice is not good at all and i dont see the point of this.... and the quality suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks
