Just searched for a thread about this news from Herald Tribune and found nothing.
So it seems that former military veterans are pushing Mr. Peter King (chairman of the Homeland Security Committee) to give answers about security
breach occurred to America's nuclear weapons arsenals by UFOs.
The appeal was signed also by former USAF captain Bob Salas who stated he "could get [active duty] Air Force personnel to come forward and testify to
his committee about the 50 missiles that went down in Wyoming in 2010.”
I never heard about Wyoming incident, did you?
This story from a "reputable" source states that the missiles could not be communicated with due to hardware failure.
The standard debunk is that this failure is due to banal hardware failure and after the fact the UFO fictionalists built some UFO lore around the
actual event.
BTW, the original story is in the blog section and is not an official Herald article, but saying so gives it the aire of legitimacy.

Ive honest to god seen strange lights over the donald c cook nuclear plant before. I know a couple of people who work there and they say theyve seen
ufos over the plant. But at nuclear plants you just keep your mouth # or theyll fire you for being crazy.
I think this stuff is real. But why? They didnt stop fukushima!
So you are suggesting that a failure of 50 missiles to be taken off-line is simply a "hardware failure?"
That explanation must emit from official debunkers of all things UFO, right? And we must accept it at face value because they said so, never lie
and deny and always tell us the truth?
Have you no comprehension how such an incredible failure of one of our most vital defense systems that total 50 ICBM nuclear missiles would be
virtually impossible to be taken off line by a simple"hardware failure?" On the reverse, have you absolutely no knowledge of other instances of
this same type with UFOs over missile facilities?
I applaud efforts like this one, not because it's likely to lead to any new investigations or answers, but because it puts the congressman in a
position in which he either has to respond to the letter or be accused of ignoring what these men are saying, essentially implying that they are
either lying or stupid.
Back in the day, Donald Keyhoe made it a point to get in the face of the Air Force. He was outspoken, and what he said was rather well-publicized.
He became someone the Air Force had to - and did - respond to. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone today with the ability to publicly put the
government on the spot on this issue.
I'd like to see Robert Hastings and Bob Salas interviewed on 60 Minutes.
Silos are all independent and not linked together like Skynet for the exact reason we would not want 50 to go down. If 50 went down that is something
catastrophic might have more to do with communications since they do not go into detail about the nature of the problem, the excuses debunkers gave
are speculation about hardware. Without more details about if the missiles could not actually fire we are stuck speculating.
