In the picture with the bell. Some of the letters are different colors.

Does this page have anything similar?

We really need to see the full page to get all the clues.

How about upload a picture of the page and then type in what the text says.

SOLVED!

I wrote a litte program, and i got this:

B LLS LCA AQ COLOURED CQLS SPELL WORD OR PHRASE-E MOST PART THEM R INSIGNIFICANT HOWEVER AS PART OF MATHEMATICAL QUESTION ON EACH PAGE-THOSE MARoED WITH A oEM REQUIRE NUMBER OF OOLOURED CQLS BE ADDED TO FINAL SCORE E THAU PARTICULAR PAGE-DO NOT USE oEMS ON COVINGTON OR HEART OF SOLDIER

I have to admit, english is not my first language, and the text seems odd. My program was unable to decipher the letter "o", but the rest seems OK, I think.

Hope that helps. Have a nice day! Bye!

PS: The character replacement map ...
c=I p=N u=S a=G j=F g=C e=A v=T l=R i=E q=O k=Q w=U n=M f=B b=H m=L h=D y=W r=P x=V s=M

PPS: Take care, there MAY be errors in the replacement map!

I've pretty much hit a wall with this treasure hunt. With some help from my software engineering student son I've managed to solve 98% of this cipher (first line still stumps me as well as part of the second last line). The cipher only reveals more instructions for working with the mathematical calculations in specific situations, but does nothing, as far as I can tell, in the way of revealing what to do with the final numerical answer for each picture/poem combo.

So far I've ended up with numbers falling between 10 - 35 and two that are 4-digits in length and no number for pg. 44 since I don't know what they are asking.

Page 44/45 combo is an enigma to me. I can see the Washington/cherry tree/axe and American Goldfinch/Washington state bird symbolism in the picture, but I don't know how to interpret the other clues along with the these in the larger context. Try as I might, I can't make out the possible script hidden within the wire.

The other thing that puzzles me is whether or not Leotie's gifts were in the wooden box when Thomas was killed (and later plundered by his killers) or if he was giving her the empty box in the hope that she would find the key and map under the false lid. The ambiguous wording of the story doesn't make it clear what exactly Thomas' friend was responsible for putting in the box: was it only the letter of explanantion? the letter of explanation AND the key?

Given the lack of solution this many months into it, the authors may have to provide some more hints via their website if they want this to be solved.

Maybe it's a scam and there's nothing to be solved.
