A number of stations in my area are owned by the same person. They have stations in the next towns over as well. When the gas price at one of those other towns goes up, the ones in my town go up, even though they won't take delivery of a shipment for another day or two. Because they WILL be paying higher for that shipment, they jump the price a day or two early, to make more money.
