I was working one day and driving through the countryside in Orange County Virginia when I looked to my left and saw a white sign attached to a triple A fencing with barb wire fencing at the top. On the other side was a gravel road which paralled it. This fence went for several miles with signs every 50 to 100 feet but were not the regular gov signs as seen on most of the bases I was stationed at. There is nothing out in this area and this took me off guard. If anyone knows it would be interesting due to this location. On Google it looks like there might be some munition buildings but I cant tell. There is a sign for Aerojet out there but that is at one location on the corner. The fencing is visible near Rt 522 and Pine Stake Road and travels quite a distance. Anyone?

Chances are it's nothing special. All I see is dirt tracks and a few sheds.

How's this for a conspiracy:

Most secret locations are dirt tracks and sheds...

Sheds are a common place to stash porn mags...

Coincidence?

On the Google map (with the coordinates you supplied), when I hover over the dot for 'Atlantic Research Corporation', it says, "Guided Missle and Space vehicle Propulsion Units and Propulsion Unit Parts".

Does that help?

well whats even more strange is that the land ecompasses more and is very heavily wooded. the fence extends from lose to 522 down toward Amberger lane and snakes it way into the forest areas. its very odd and it sits in right in the middle of the country. i wish i knew more about it. there is a police force out there and they are federal after i spoke with a friend of mine who knew about and lives in the area. he himself too is prior service and found this to be an odd location for a base.

Apparently there are also several other installations in this county. Those have a different sign on them that are identical to the ones at Camp perry

thanks for the links and information. the more i dig, the more questions i come up. this corporation has no locations, listed in Orange VA. The closest I found was one county over, in Culpepper and I know where that location is. If this is a private company, then why are there government signs attached to the fences and a federal law enforcmnment agency patrollling the grounds? this makes no sense. i will keep digging. if anyone else come up with anything please post them. thanks

It would help to have a photo of the "government" sign.

This is what I see around actual government bases. Well except for the bullet holes.

There seems to be no penalty for putting up a no trespassing signs where you don't really own the property, or you are misrepresenting yourself. You find this in rural areas where Joe Hillbilly doesn't like people driving on "his" dirt road.

On BLM property, you might get them to remove such signs. They will absolutely remove chains or other illegal gates if you give them locations. Fake signs seems to be less of a priority.

One of the companies that is on this instalation is Aerojet and they are a DoD contractor. The sign itself is very similar to to other signs. You can tell the difference between a military installation and a federally run one. The gov ones will have the red white and blue US GOV signs like the one u have pictured. The one out in this area I ran into is a rectangle, white with GOV info on it. Whats even more interesting is that I have seen FPS driving along the gravel road inside the perimiter, which tells me this is a gov instaltion and not one run solely by a Dod contractor

I have a foolproof, never fail method to keep elephants away. I just snap my fingers. *snap*, *snap*, *snap*. See? No elephants! It's working!
