I live relatively close to Burnaby, i'm not buying this.
The idea that one person could film this without it becoming a widespread thing just doesn't bode well with me.
In reality it would have become instant news with all the news stations, stationed in Burnaby pointing their cameras at it Live.

The geography there just would have made this thing purely obvious, Burnaby is steep slopes meeting the Valley.
Both sides would have went into full "HOLY IJEIJE, LOOK AT THAT THING RIGHT THERE" mode.

Not to mention that phony takeoff, give me a break.. that was 1993 era CG technology at work.

I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt until it moved up and away.

At that speed it would have disturbed the clouds and caused one heck of a vortex screaming up and away like that.

Now I'm not saying it isn't CG but just for discussion sake: (( I picked your response because of some of your other posts pertaining to other matters
and that yours talks about what it should look like))

You can't say with 100% certainty what it actually should like because we have no way to comprehend that advancement in technology. We are a class 0 civilization and in the beginning stages of science and obviously any alien civilization with the kind of technology to be able to travel and visit us are of a higher class of civilization and have a way better understand of science.

As it moves away or fades away, you can clearly see that either:
1) The object just shrinks to nothing or
2) The clouds are miles and miles away from the object since you never see go through the clouds until it's the size of a "period" dot.

You don't need to be an interstellar rocket scientist to know what perspective is. That crappy ufo just shrunk in size

The reason that I said that is simple physics: anything that has mass that moves through an atmosphere will push against that atmosphere.

Go on the freeway and get behind a large truck that is moving fast. You'll feel your car shake around from the turbulence that the truck creates as the air in front of it is being forces over, around and under it.

This is actually related to Lift that air craft use to fly (air forced under the wing at high speeds).

Anything that has mass that moves through the air quickly is going to create turbulence. Clouds are water vapor that is in the air. Disturb that air (turbulence) and you'll see the clouds react to that.

Now, in order for that disk to move like it did without affecting the clouds, means it has technology that allows it to pass through the air without disturbing it. (in other words very advanced technology that defies the laws of physics we know).

So sure, we could say that the technology is so advanced it can do that. But then we're just guessing at that point.

For me, if it had disturbed the clouds it would have been more realistic (just my opinion is all).

Ok let me explain it a different way. Think of life as a school. We (our entire civilization) is in Kindergarten. What we can understand about science, physics and basically everything, is very minimal. We can't fathom the kind of technology, science and understanding the way of the universe because we are just starting out.
Interstellar rocket scientist doesn't know jack compares to a class 2-3 civilization.
You can't say we understand and know what is possible and what isn't. To think and say so is arrogant.

Now again, I'm not just saying this because of this video. Yes some stuff is going to be CGI like this one but not all are. Just because something may not look possible to us doesn't mean that is.

I don't know what it is, but it didn't "feel" right - my gut instinct is that it is a hoax.

Not an expert opinion in in way shape or form - just my intuition. Looking forward to how this progresses.
(I've noticed some cgi savvy folks are very clear that it is cgi - including the lack of appropriate movement or "jiggle" of the object not matching the "jiggle" of the camera - that is something I know to look for, and the movement of the object does seem too "smooth" in comparison to the background. There was not enough disruption of the clouds, imo, with a 'bubble' seeming to be around the object.)

Thanks for posting!
peace,
AB

I'm not disagreeing with you so there is no need to explain yourself. If you don't think this is real then there is nothing to talk about.
