Thanks
But Ballistic Glass or Bullet proof glass is generally not used in buildings
LPS 1270 standard is Security Glass that is tested with a range of tools

The tools, depending on the test level, range from simple hand held screwdrivers, through a variety of power tools, all the way up to oxyacetylene cutting equipment, pneumatic impact tools, concrete chainsaws and high powered diamond drills.

I am fairly cetain this glass could not withstand a low Altitude flypast by two jets that are going

They weren't QUITE supersonic. They were doing an estimated 590kts at the time of the pass

Testing for this glass stops just short of

Testing stops just short of using vehicles, firearms and explosives.

And i presume Jets

The strongest shockwave ever recorded was an F-4 at 100 feet, and it was over 144lbs per square foot. That wasn't enough to cause injuries to the scientists, but that would cause damage to just about any building made.

Job Done

Oh that was badassedness at its finest

Not very many sounds that are quite as pleasing to the ears.

Maybe this is why you cant buy an F-16 in the US and the gubmint grounds you if you buy a Mig-21 on up through the Mig-29. If i had one id do this everyday, without a doubt.

I thought mythbusters proved this wouldn't happen? I was skeptical when I saw it on mythbusters, because I've felt sonic booms that shook my vehicle and made my ears pop and ring, but they did some very low-level tests, and they couldn't get any glass to break.

Comments on the Youtube page are talking about the Brazilian Video too!

ETA:
Wait, it did finally break the glass in the end of the Mythbusters video! When they flew over at 200 ft it shattered the windows.

I was about to link this video as well.

It seems the glass in the house shattered, but that was because there was a pressure difference. Perhaps if the door was open it would do nothing more than vibrate all the stuff inside. Since there was a pressure difference the air on the outside was trying to push inwards, so it finally shattered the glass (on what, pass #8 or something? lol)

Funny though none of the glasses on the table broke.
