Of course it's cheaper being single. But who the hell wants to go out to eat to a dinner for one?edit on 2-7-2012 by Wooster because: (no reason given)

Thanks for the info. I have debated going to a doctor. My worst fear however is being diagnosed with PTSD because of these nightmares and they put me on mind numbing drugs or sleep medication. I want no part in either of those.
The VA is great if they weren't so damn slow... I got out in January and I am still waiting for my initial VA assessment for benefits. Problem is compounded due to me living in Germany. I'll probably have to go through my regular health insurance first.

You can have a study done without telling them the possible PTSD dream, just tell them that you suspect that you might be suffering from Apnea, PLM's (periodic limb movements, hypnic jerks, or myoclonus), and nightmares including ones involving water (your ship dream), and that is more then enough for your Dr to write you a script for a sleep study. The treatment for Apnea is normally a Cpap Machine, not medication.
Also, since you're a vet, you can usually get it done through the VA. Most VA hospitals have sleep centers in them, but the wait time is longer then for a private lab. Though some VA's will send their spill over, if the wait is too long, to a private lab as well. The VA will also provide you with Cpap Machines, Masks, Filters, etc. free of charge.
No offense to Manhater, but this is a very common issue, and has NOTHING to do with your spouse. As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

What you're mentioning is stuff your Dog is picking up from YOU. The dog might feel insecure because it detects that you are not “in control of the situation” for some reason. If you are not being the alpha, then the dog either feels that it must be (being aggressive), or it feels insecure (acts abused).
Not sure how we switched topics here, but you can ask any dog person, and your going to get a simular answer on that one.As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.
