As the EU's oil sanctions against Iran take effect, the Islamic Republic's Revolutionary Guards announced Sunday that they will hold a three-day surface-to-surface missile exercise, targeting bases modeled after those of foreign armies.

The IRNA agency said Sunday the maneuvers, dubbed "Great Prophet 7," would begin Monday in Iran's central desert and last three days.

Pretty blatant war-games, but they are no longer allowed to ship to Europe starting today... Literally an animal backed into a corner scenario like Iraq. Too many ships, too many groups, too many problems with "renewed countries" like Egypt and Libya and with Syria falling, too much of everything in the Middle-East. :-/

How exactly do they plan on Launching Missiles to hit the Iron Dome? I detect possible Irony. Lets use Missiles to destroy their missile defense system.

For those that have not heard what Iron Dome is, it is Israel's antimissile defense system for short range weapons. It has been in operation for while now. So Iran is saying that it is developing a system designed to take out those anti-missile batteries.

This should not be a surprise to anyone. Israel has made it clear that a nuclear armed Iran is not acceptable. That Iran would be working on antimissile systems themselves to preclude a preemptive strike should be considered a given.

I have known people from Israel, Iraq and Iran and all of them were delightful individuals. It is one of the saddest situations on earth today that such intelligent people can't see past the culture they are raised in to stop the madness, and make this a better world for all of us.

What i don't understand is why was there a need to spend so much money on a system when most of Hamas's fireworks land on empty fields anyway?

So overall Iran has nothing to worry about apart from israeli jericho missiles armed with Nukes or the Nuke subs given by Germans to israel for free a few weeks ago because the Germans are still in debt for the holohaux.

I believe the katusha rockets are fired from low altitude on hills and rooftops......
They iron dome is to fend off larger, longer range ones.

Then im sure Israel would introduce Megaton Plus nuclear weapons against Iran.

Iron Dome intercept succes rate is over 90%.This year Iron Dome shot down about 98% of the Katyushas and Grads that came from Gaza.It is made for short-range and mid-range rockets/missiles.

Thst is if you believe the Jerusalem Post.If not ( and i assume you will not) keep dreaming about the "failed" Iron Dome, about how bad-ass mofos are the iranians and how Hezbollah won the last party with Israel.

It is a pretty nasty anti-missile system.And best in the world at this moment.

Geez. Iron dome isnt meant to stop all rockets only ones in areas that are deemed harmful. Why waste it on a firecracker landing in a field? Of course the numbers will be skewed. Also, believe it or not, (for all the kids on this site), its harder to stop a short range rocket than a longe range missile so dont try to make too many comparisons between the two ok?
