pay for it all. I pay for all of your expenses with the rest of the civilians in this country through TAXES. And I don't complain about it.

I believe you miss the point. The point is their salary comes from the tax dollar. Your employer gets paid off of what he sells, you get paid for providing the service of your employer.

Both your boss and you have your wage garnished by percentage. That money IS the government salary.

They are tax exempt, meaning they get to keep it too without having to pay the vig. So when they turn around and then say that even though they have the best deal possible, that they want more IS hypocritical.

I'm not for obamacare, I do get what the OP is saying though. I think ethically he's right. I don't even think it's a matter of opinion.

We take care of you financially, we provide you with goods and housing and entertainment money. You provide us bunk ass broken security, and you should help provide for our medical.

Seems like a fair shake. I would actually be all for obamacare if it was only forced on government employees. To me, that would be fair. If they took their tax exempt money, and gave a cut of that to the peoples medical insurance, what's so wrong about that?

Outside of the fact that insurance is a scam in every sense of the word and should be illegal in it's current forms.

See, what people don't know about insurance companies is, they make money holding your money. Nothing is inherently wrong with this...

The problem arises from how insurance works when you need to make a claim. Say I have insurance for 30 years and never need to make a claim, yet I'm paying lets say $200 a month. That is $72,000. I finally need to make a claim, but the damage is only worth $5,000.

Now I have to pay a $500 deductible for them to use a portion of that 72k that I gave them, that they have been gaining interest off of for 30 years. Then they raise my "rate" so now my monthly goes up to $220.

Now say my insurance lapses. I have no coverage and I paid $67,000 for no product.

I should still be insured up to $67,000 since they are making BOAT LOADS of money off the interest collecting on the billions of dollars they are just holding from the millions of people forced to have insurance.

I should after a set amount of time, be able to pull my money out of one firm and transfer it to another so I choose to change my mind about my provider. Instead, it's a roach motel, people pay a huge amount of money into insurance that is required, but most people never have to make any substantial claims that have any value even remotely close to what they paid in.

It's a giant scam. So do I like obama care? No, do I think it could work if there was a real insurance reform and regulation that guarantees the money you spend on insurance? Sure.

But that's simply not the world we live in. Would I be okay with the government taxing employees to cover their own and our medical expenses? Sure. It's our money anyway....

So the government now wants to force you into paying boatloads for insurance, then they want to take income tax, then road tax and sales tax, all the while they get everything for free?

How absurd is this logic?

This is a Mafia Controlled Protection Racket. Pay us, and we'll keep you safe, don't pay us, and we'll be the ones to hurt you. By the way, did I mention that if you do pay us, we still might hurt you? Did I also mention that you have to pay us again after you pay us? Then pay us again, and again, and again, and again....

I mean.... how did this even happen?

Can we all stop this my opinion means more than yours for *insert reason here* stuff? This is a major part of the problem in America. Everyone gets all self important and pretends to be self sufficient or thinks their dollar means more than someone elses, when the truth is we all need each other. Not in some hippie oneness way, but for society to function we literally need everyone. Nobody in this society is an island, at all.

I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY TAXES" I mean , wow. Really ? Do you know who pays your wages ? I do. Do you know who pays your health care expenses ? I do. Do you know who bought your house ? I did. Do you know who bought your car ? I did ? I pay for your kids soccer uniform and your daughters volleyball lessons. I pay for everything you consume.

I pay for it all. I pay for all of your expenses with the rest of the civilians in this country through TAXES. And I don't complain about it. Why ? It's the cost of security. You are Americas Security and we pay for it. So, I don't complain when you whip out that government ID and those "orders" and tell me "I'm Tax Exempt" . I don't mind that the Exchange is TAX-FREE. I don't mind you asking for a "Gummint Discount". It's the cost of security. I pay for your health care. I pay for everything you own. The tissue you wipe your butt with comes from me. Even when you leave the government, I give you loans and I pay your pensions. FOR LIFE !

And YOU don't want to pay for someone eles what ? Health Care? Really ? I mean, I can understand why some civilians are upset, but you ? You? Oh government employee?

You do realize that there is a difference between being given reimbursement for a service provided within the enumerated powers of the government and being given something for nothing.

What tax exempt money? When I was on active duty I paied taxes on every paycheck, all itemized on my W2. State, local, federal income, SS, FICA...all were paid duely and on time.
