I'm sure everyone around here as heard about ACTA, and how much of a threat it can represent for the Internet and our privacy.
The European parliament official investigator even quit and was horrified about the process, using his own words
"I want to denounce in the strongest possible manner the entire process that led to the signature of this agreement: no inclusion of civil
society organisations, a lack of transparency from the start of the negotiations, repeated postponing of the signature of the text without an
explanation being ever given, exclusion of the EU Parliament's demands that were expressed on several occasions in our assembly,"
So, the final vote on the European Parliament is on july 4th and guess what? We can actually try and do something about it
hurrah! Once it is
rejected, it'll stay that way.
Use this handy lil' thing to call your MEP and demand a rejection on their part, pi-phone is offering this service free of charge and I say we take
this opportunity and show them the masses will not accept this!
