Is it just me.....?

Okay. Is it just me or has the terrorismt news died down alot lately? We were warned multiple times that we will be seeing a terror attack before the elections and now that we are getting closer to that day we keep hearing less and less. Have other current topics just taken away from the terrorism bill? Hurricanes, Volcanos and Debates overshadowing the tape that was released last week? It just seems that the media isnt paying much attention to it and that the govt. is keeping fairly quiet as well.

The lack of talk on these things make me more concerned than the talking ever did.

I still see a dramatic drop in the information that we are hearing now and I am very very curious to what it could be. Bush setting us up for the big october surprise or have all the terror cells gone quiet to start implementing a new attack?

It is true the contrast from very calm conditions to Extremely violent events, creates more 'shock' and dramatic value. [read horror]

Partly I think they are playing down all the violence in Iraq. So they can fantasize/portray they are having success there.

Actually, it's not just you! I was wondering the exact same thing last night. I don't know if it's a good sign or a bad sign that we aren't hearing anything. I assume that the media is so fixated with the upcoming elections that they just don't have time to report what's going on in regard to possible terrorist attacks.

Personally I would prefer to see a news conference with any updates they might have. Even if they don't have any additional info I would rather someone come out and say they still dont have specifics but they are doing X,Y,Z to keep us safe and give us all a reminder to continue to live our lives but to keep our eyes open for suspicious behavior.

The way the liberals scream that it's just a scare tactic everytime there is a terror threat it could be that the WH is keeping quiet so that the liberals have one less thing to throw at them.

Are we talking about the terror threat levels here in the U.S. or are we talking about the WAR on terror which would include Iraq?



I thought the thread was regarding the announcement made in August or September that they had credible info that a possible attack would be attempted here in the U.S. before the election. If I'm mistaken you can disregard my previous post.
