My bet is they left their wives, children and family behind in Syria to face the music hoping they'll get asylum in our countries and bring their families later.

Those who commit mutiny and betrayal of their nation should never be trusted and are only out to save their own hides. My bet is, they have a whole lot to answer for.

They did'nt seem to mind working for Assad before this mess started!

What I meant by [there seems to be more defections by the day] is that I first heard of a Jet Pilot, now the General and colonels then from your provided link to more stories of 8 and some stating 12 soldiers etc etc .

Now either it's a big propaganda campaign or the Syrian military is really jumping ship...


ETA: I think it's a bit of both. As more Syrian military start to think long and hard about what happened in Libya they are starting to skip out then the West's Media catch wind of it and start ramping up the rhetoric and propaganda.

One feeds off of the other.

Like i said earlier, did these top brass know something and have passed on this info, add to that the plane being shot down...

Or is this just drum banging a little bit too hard...?

We know the position of most countries as to which side they're on.. but for this news statement suggesting that winter is coming is the sort of thing you'd be shocked at if it was in your own country.
Is this statement preparing those in the know and/or the general public of Turkey and Syria?

Don't forget the fall of Saddam and that Statute that was staged thats why you dont see the CNN,fox news pundits talking about it anymore.


I was surprised MSNBC was allowed to talk about it that was not surprising. Either way SLAYER69 WW3 is coming for two days of this year where i live.

I saw the moon turn into red or rather its color turning blondish looking on two occasions and thats not a good omen.

Assad is not going to go down without a fight, he saw what they did to ghaddafi
and they even jailed mubarak on his death bed when he stepped down and did not fire on anyone!!

Actually i have a feeling these colonels and this general had the intel, even though his on the side with the rebels, and turkey who will be prepared to raze it.

Basically NATO is willing to do a scorched earth policy. While pretending to be the Good guys.

Well not a lot of defections just 13 in total and with the soldiers and there families, they know whats coming a NATO scorched earth policy apparently it seems from the way i read the National turk bottom part.

Russia, China wont like this, but you can bet John McCain sure will.

I would call the whole rebel side a defection really if you think about it... What good would it do NATO if it scorches* raze* the place? I say let them kill each other off really.. I think Assad would win the civil war of course
in the long run..
