Hiya folks!

Long time lurker. I find the subject matter here on ATS very interesting and often-times informative ... or it at least gets me thinking.

I'm not a contactee (that I know of). I don't necessarily believe in the whole "New World Order" thing but I'm not entirely closed off to the possibility. I don't know any secret or forbidden information either.

I'm not religious. I'm born Jewish but not practicing -- instead, I believe in Karma and that we reincarnate until we "get it right", according to each persons' spiritual need, then we move on to new lessons. I treat others the way I myself would like to be treated -- with fairness, objectivity, consideration and respect.

I also am not a fan of humans harming humans in any way unless it is for defensive reasons. Nor am I a fan of hatred, bigotry, racism, disrespect, cruelty, or ego. It's 2012, and humanity should be beyond such things by now. I am neutral on the subject of gay marriage and polygamy, simply because I believe it is up to the individual what they do and whom they love and it does not affect me or my life in any way.

I believe that all people can surpass their circumstances and upbringing. Coming from a broken home, where my father was (and still is) a severe drug addict and alcoholic, it's easy to fall into those patterns of thinking and behavior. That's the beauty of evolution -- we are not our parents. We are not bound to their habits and ways of thinking, nor are we somehow "fated" to be like them. I take comfort in that idea, which honestly is more of a fact than anything.

Anyway, I look forward to participating in the discussions here at ATS, and perhaps even starting some of my own. Cheers!

Thanks everyone. Glad I finally signed up.

So I need 20 posts before I can start new topics? Aside from Introductions of course .. I have a topic of interest that I haven't seen any discussion on (yet). And yes, I know the search feature is a wonderful thing.
