Nope, the Bible never uses metaphors or allegories. So it clearly says God has feathers, so He is a chicken, turkey, or maybe even a small duck. You've been on here for weeks proving to theworld that there obviously is no such thing as metaphorical language or allegorical rhetorical devices used.

Big bad chicken, not a volcano. Chicken that spits flames and lives in Army forts.

Feeling peeved?

The Bible does use metaphors and alegories but you need to be able to know what is metaphor and what is terminology born out of a lack of knowledge. For example, sheltering under 'his' feathered wings is a metaphor due to the author wanting to express the feeling of being taken care of and protected by his imaginery god. He knew his god did not look like a chicken but used the metaphor to express a feeling.

but....

Psalm 7:13 He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.

is incorrect terminology used to best fit the situation due to the author not knowing the correct terminology and also believing the volcano, or inside the volcano, was a god. A volcanologist would not use the term 'flaming arrows' but 'tephra'.

Much closer inspection is needed when deciphering the Bible. You need to be very good at visualisation and, as I've said before, empathy. Can you transport yourself back to their time, picture the scene, sense the mood and put yourself into their shoes? Those who can will find the penny drops sooner.
