Hauliers and motorists have welcomed the biggest monthly drop in petrol prices in four years, but say that fuel costs are still too high

However, businesses have warned that most of the reduction would be wiped out if the Government persisted with a proposed fuel duty rise of 3p due to take effect from August 1.

The fact of the matter is ,we are still paying too much for our fuel even though the price of oil has dropped considerably. quite frankly, I'm sick of being ripped off! Aren't you?

nothing will change.

The government knows the fuel companies run a cartel operation (even for gas and electric) but will not do anything about it as the 'taxes' imposed on fuel provide too much money to the government.

Back last winter David Camerwrong said before going into a meeting with the energy companies that he was going to get them to reduce prices.
After he came out of the meeting he said that we need to better insulate our homes.

What a gutless wonder. no backbone at all.

Regarding petrol / diesel, How exactly can paying duty and then VAT on top of the lot (taxed twice) be legal ?
