O.k. So Last night we had a pretty serious thunderstorm high winds, etc, and of course heard about Dallas's baseball sized hail.

There are those who think the weather follow after CME's, can't say that I believe this 100%, but then who really knows for sure. The moon affects the tides on Earth, so is it possible that even farther away our Sun could be messing with the weather, with these CME's and really giving us the run for the money? Would like an opinion from all of you, what do you think, are we really at the mercy of the Sun? Whatever we might be in for a little bit of a bumpy ride.

At about 1:49 the video on Youtube mentions the CME's.

I thought we were working on this problem hands on....

But I guess this wasn't enough. I propose we strap one of these on to every human being on the planet. That... and give a hefty carbon tax on top of this idea, then perhaps this freakish global warming super weather will change for the better.

Or, 3rd option.... we go back to human sacrifices as offerings to the sun & moon gods.

forgive me for i don't understand your logic here ?

Couldn't be some effect from these CME's that are giving us the weird weather? Or do you believe these coincidences?

Poor cows. Where's PETA when you need them? I seriously doubt that cow farts are the cause of weird weather though. Would there be enough cows farting at the same time to cause this to happen?

This is a pretty cool animation, just recently found it.

I think he's referring to an article like THIS: www.straightdope.com...
Which appear to say that cows burping/farting gasses are a danger to the environment as they greatly increase greenhouse gasses. Though...what many of these CLIMATE WARMING specialists seem to forget or maybe they don't know (makes you wonder where they went to school, don't it?) Apparently there were MORE greenhouse gasses on the planet MANY years ago, long before humans where around. SO....where do these gasses come from that devastate, possibly the earth is going through a cycle of sorts? Gotta love it when people start grasping at straws then use statistics, BAHAHAhahaha, to prove it. I once had a statistics pro tell me, "You can prove just about anything with "statistics" if you have the right data".
The reason he posted it here? Well the gasses will cause issues and DO add to the problem and since gasses were offhandedly mentioned in the op.... I giggled my face off when I saw it, to be honest.

The weird weather can be attributed to the sun. As the Sun goes through fazes so does the Earth. It's a natural occurrence. The Earth's polarity switch is believed to be due to the Sun's polarity switch.

As for the whole cow thing, while on one hand yes they do release a lot of CO2 into the air, an even bigger CO2 release is happening again because of the Sun. The Sun gets more intense, which is heating up our oceans more, which in turn is releasing a lot more CO2 then normal.

Life most likely originated in the ocean, and over hundreds of millions of years, the vast numbers of organisms the ocean supports have shaped the composition of the atmosphere. The ocean stores huge quantities of energy, and heat exchange between ocean and atmosphere drives the winds and atmospheric circulation around the world. These winds in turn drive ocean surface currents and the overturning circulation. Finally, the ocean has a moderating effect on the climate, absorbing carbon dioxide and excess heat and therefore slowing the warming of the atmosphere due to rising levels of greenhouse gases.

Ocean water also holds tremendous quantities of carbon dioxide, 40 times more than the atmosphere. It absorbs almost half of the carbon dioxide released from the burning of fossil fuels. Carbon dioxide dissolves in the frigid waters near the Arctic and Antarctic. In the winter, this cold water sinks as part of the ocean’s overturning circulation and carries the carbon dioxide into the deep ocean. After hundreds of years, mixing from winds and tides pulls this water back to the surface. As the water warms, it releases carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere.
