you are seeing what you want to see.

not linking Syria to the United States somehow would be a waste of a war for many people.

attempting to hang your fraud around the necks of Americans is the only reason Assad agreed to do what he's doing.

he'd better hope this plan is better than NATOs attempt to rescue Gaddafi and make it look like American intervention; we all know how that story ended.

Syria will not be another "Afghanistan" for simple reason that Syria doesn't have anything the US wants (i.e. control of gas pipelines, or opium) and occupation wouldn't offer the US anything in terms of logistics. What Syria does have are nuclear weapons (despite rumors to the contrary), an unstable government, and allegiance with Iran. That's the real reason we'll be invading Syria. It's gonna be quick, severe, and with purpose. Basically, Syria is just a small bump in the road on our way to invading Iran.
