Iran-Syria: intervention will be defeated

Iran is ready to mount a resistance against a possible outside attack on Syria, two senior generals of the Islamic Republic said. The statements come as the level of violence in war-torn Syria continues to escalate.

­The pro-Assad “resistance” would ensure that aggressors do not survive the conflict, a senior commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier Gen. Massoud Jazaeri told Mashregh, a media outlet run by the Guards.

“A conflict in Syria will engulf the region and its main victims will be the people of Syria themselves,” he also noted. “The Zionist regime and the interests of the enemies of Syria are all within range of the resistance fire.”

“The defeat of the enemy at this stage will be a big event and, God willing, we will witness that,” Jazaeri added.

Mashragh earlier reported that Iran’s armed forces had formed a joint war room with officers from “the resistance,” which includes Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, which controls parts of Lebanon.

Brigadier General Mohammed Reza Naqdi, the head of Iran’s Basij militia who was sanctioned by the US Treasury Department for alleged human rights abuses, said Tehran would not tolerate foreign interference to topple President Bashar al-Assad. He alleged that the United States was considering taking action in Syria to protect Israel.

“After the expulsion of the Americans from Iraq, and the disruption to their defensive posture in protecting the Zionist regime, America in order to defend the regime of the occupier of the Quds [Jerusalem] is after a new scenario in Syria,” he said. “But they will be defeated.”

Furthermore, he stressed that any attack on Syria or Iran would have negative consequences for Israel.

“Today all the people of the region are ready for wiping out this cancerous tumor and reaction to any aggression will be the freedom of Quds,” he said.

The statements come as violence in Syria continues to spiral out of control. Massacres of civilians, many of them women and children, have become routine, with the latest bloodshed happening earlier this week in the Hama province. Up to 78 people died in the mass killing, which came just a day before UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and UN-Arab League envoy to Syria Kofi Annan addressed the General Assembly and the Security Council on the situation in the country.

The UN largely put the blame on the Syrian government and called for all parties to follow Annan’s six-point peace plan. The United States, the United Kingdom, France and others were quick to draw conclusions and called for more drastic measures to be taken against President Assad. Russia and China urged caution in pointing fingers, saying both sides were to blame.

Iran has been a staunch ally of the Assad government. Some analysts believe that the ongoing Syrian conflict is largely rooted in religion. Assad and the ruling elite are mostly members of the Alawite group, an offshoot of Shiite Islam. Analysts argue that Shiite-dominated governments, such as Iran and Syria, have been pitted against Sunni countries and groups, including the Syrian opposition, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Western nations have traditionally relied on the Sunni side, though this has not always been the case.

Are they saying that the current turmoil is "A Possible OUTSIDE attack" ?
OR
Are they saying that a possible future outside attack will be met with resistance.

Seems like the second one.

As in they would defend against an invasion by foreign Armies.

I kind of thought this was already the case.

But they sound pretty adamant about defending Assad.
I hope we either start helping against the terrorists or stay the heck out of it.

Iran urged the U.S. to close all its military bases in the world

The U.S. have to close all its military bases in the world, Commander of the Basij paramilitary force of Iran Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi said, ISNA reported.

He also said that the U.S. have to call back all their warships, and ask for our forgiveness.

"After the U.S. forces left Iraq, they needed another regional country where from they could protect Israel," Naqdi said. "As a result, Syria was selected as such country, however Syrian people bravely resist the pressure."

Speaking about the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, Naqdi said that the U.S is fully aware that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful.

"This is a simple barrier to prevent Iran from becoming a role model," the general said.

Why don't that persian infidel apostate Ayatollah leader just cut the BS and come clean on the REAL religion he had been preaching in Iran for decades?

There is NO law in Islam - shia or sunni or salfism, that condones the murder of innocents, nor ANY other mainstream religion!

The instances whereby it is allowed is limited - such as defense of oneself when under attack when all diplomatic options failed, or barbaric animals that refused to surrender and demands to continue with human blood sacrifice.

But that apostate had not only condone the human blood sacrifices of INNOCENT fellow humans, he had even actively supported the further draining of innocent human blood around the world.

The beast Assad is a mass murderer who had murdered THOUSANDS of his own UNARMED innocent civilians whom had only pleaded for succor and help from him. They receive NO mercy, but bullets and brutal executions upon innocent men, women and children right up till today.

Any muslim who supports him is NOT a true muslim, but MISUSING the peaceful religion of Islam and the name of ALLAH to fool others to destroy our Creator's creations.

Which is why muslims in states such as Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states are acting in concert to get rid of those barbarians in Syria, to save fellow innocent humans, regardless if shia or sunni and attempting to halt those mass atrocities by the animal Assad who is supported by his fellow human blood sacrificing barbarians such as the persian infidel apostate Ayatollah, Putin of Russia and China CCP gov.

By supporting Assad or refusing to hold Assad to justice, those barbarian leaders of civilised nations with citizens fooled, they are sending the message that IT IS OK TO MURDER your fellow neighbours, and that the biggest barbarian of them all - PUTIN, will protect you with his military and nukes!

Prison wardens in Iran, Russia and China should RELEASE all murderers in jail, for it is not a crime to murder anyone in Iran, Russia and China, or those prisoners should stage a revolt against been held in jail. After all, their sovereign leaders had authorised and allowed bloodshed, human blood sacrifices unpunished and is perfectly ok to do so.

And may the persian infidel apostate ayatollah CEASE misuing the religion of Islam to conduct human blood sacrifices, bringing name and heresay to all muslims and our common Creator!
