i wouldnt say thomas was an idiot. he defiantly nothing like Telsa and if Telsa had the same type of ambitions and greed he would still be out shining edison today. but sadly most people don't even know who he is. but oh well, the world benefited from his inventions and thats what he probably cared most about-not his name

Well.. excellent link and great thread.

But from the responses so far .. all i'm getting is that Boncho is a bit of an argumentative tool!

I have studied both of these people and found that Tesla = mad scientist with awesome ideas able to test his inventions mentally prior to physically where as Edison = shrewed nasty a$$ hat who didn't really didnt know that much other than that which he stole or read elsewhere.

To stand behind Edison as a forward thinker just shows that some people allways want to take the oposing side of an argument for s&&ts and giggles...

I myself like to build Tesla coins for use in music.... a tad dangerous but awesome fun once connected to a keyboard

No, but they haven't had glow-in-the-dark oceans since...

Edison was a thief.

Nazi SOB. He was a bad person and a terrible human being. He was only good at business. He managed to commercialize what others invented, that's all.

He was also a Nazi sympathizer.

I would dance on his tomb if I had it near me.

Tesla and Edison are polar opposites.

Tesla was a naive, but a visionary inventor that imagined inventions in their entirety in his mind before constructing them fully, and also understood the science behind them.

Edison was a business man with crafty ideas that made money.

Tesla died pennyless, discredited and is not well known in the broader society, even though all his ideas were superior.

Edison died rich and became a legend, and is well known.

The world would be a better place if Telsa's ideas came to fruition.
