I saw a post today about voter suppression in Wisconsin. It was called "Blatant voter-suppression tactics at work in Wisconsin"
www.abovetopsecret.com...
Then another poster who I would guess disagreed made a post and copied that first post's title: "Blatant voter intimidation and invasion of voters
privacy tactics at work in Wisconsin"
www.abovetopsecret.com...
Instead of offering a rebuttal in the original post, they basically duplicated the topic and mirrored the title to argue their point.
To me this just seems to defy the idea of having a discussion forum instead we get competing thread titles with little substance in the actual thread.
Shouldn't there be a T&C clause covering how closely you can mock a post title when making a rebuttal type post? I can see this wouldn't be an issue
if the two posts were posted years apart, but to do it on the same day, it just junks up the forum.
Thanks and good luck with your forum
PS I used the two above as an example since they are the most recent ones, but I have been seeing this a lot lately on ATS. Someone sees a post they
don't like, and instead of discussing their opinion in that post, they run off like little children and make a nearly identical titled post and
proceed to mock the first one.
