Og was said to be King of Bashar, now located in modern-day Syria.
Og was not a Nephilim, but a Rephaim Amorite.
King Og

The Exodus of the Israelites is generally accepted among scholars to have taken place sometime between 1400 and 1200 BC.
Israelites Exodus From Egypt

The Biblical flood is generally accepted among scholars to have taken place sometime between 2500-2300 BC.

That would make King Og around a thousand years old during the time of Moses if he had indeed hitched a ride on the Ark. Thus making his ass-whoopin by Moses a totally unremarkable endeavor.

The most likely explanation for Og, the Rephaim, aka Anakim, aka Emim, aka Zamzummin, the "big 'uns", is that either:

1. One of Noah's wives had been impregnated by a watcher/fallen angel or one of their male offspring, the nephilim. If I knew all my hard work to create my own race of people (albeit in this particular case we are dealing with some seriously evil bastards) over several hundreds of years was about to be wiped out by a world-wide deluge survived by only 8 people, I would most definitely be planting some of my diabolical seed somehow among the known survivors.

2. In the Bible, we are also only told that Noah "alone" is righteous, or perfect in his generations. We are told nothing specifically of his wife, nor the wives of Noah's sons. Any of whom could have been sired by Nephilim progeny and although their (the wives) demonic spirit would not have been passed on by them and inherited by their children because they were women (see Spiritual Patristic Lineage link in previous post, and this is assuming that they were sired by males and not just physical decendents of female nephilim progeny), their physical genetic traits, including gigantism, would have been.

(For those it has concerned)
My Scientific studies are Environmental, not Biblical or philosophical. I apologize if you were expecting more from me claiming such.. This is merely a topic I have stumbled on that peaked great interest. (a topic not in my expertise)

Great posts "Stupid Girl" !!

I want to ask this, with out taking us too far off my OP hopefully.

I have heard religious scholars say the Bible talks about Aliens.. Yes as a Christian sadly I have still yet to read the Bible from cover to cover.. However, in ALL I have read.. I don't recall reading anything that gives credit to the "Religious Scholars" claims.

That being said, I have indeed seen some crazy unexplainable things in the sky at night stargazing. Thing I would call a UFO. HOWEVER, I cannot believe there are actual walking intelligent beings off our planet. I would think we would have more concrete proof.

Is there any spots in the Bible that Relate the Nephilim to Aliens??

Some do say that Canaan was sired by a nephilim, so it has been considered.

True we do not know if Noah's wives were nephilim but in order for the Messiah to be born to this world, he had to have pure human genes from his mother so at least Mary's lineage was pure human. Unfortunately theres still alot we do not know. Remains of giants are turning up, some hoaxes, some real. The studies of ancient giants is like the studies of UFO's probably 1% of the "evidence" is real and the rest perpetrated by hoaxers who actually do more damage to the study than any good.

I don't believe in what many people call "extra-terrestrial" aliens.

I believe that there are "extra-dimensional" entities that some people refer to and incorrectly postulate as extra-terrestrial, ie: physical beings from another planet.

It is my personal belief that these extra-dimensional entities are one-in-the-same as the malevolent, deceptive entities that people have referred to by many names throughout the history of mankind, including genii, djinn, demons, gnomes, succubi, banshees, incubi, fairies, trolls, shape-shifters, skin-walkers, poltergeist, ascended masters, and so on and so forth, you get the idea.
They tend to be culture-specific, which is one of the obvious indicators to me that all these phenomenon are all somehow related.

If you haven't read, "Hunt For The Skinwalker" by Colm A. Kelleher, PhD & George Knapp, I highly recommend it.

If one is supposed to take the Biblical texts literally, then an Extraterrestrial Nature is the only alternative, and that also in regards to Yahweh of the Old Testament, as Yahweh was constantly described as travelling in various vehicles that made a lot of noice and spouted smoke, and, constantly described as a physical being of flesh and blood-- Not a Spirit or a force, as He is considered later on from the New Testament and onwards in History.

The "Sons of God" were described in several appocryphal texts as descending from Heaven, which, in effect, makes them Extraterrestrials, if one is supposed to take "The High Heaven" as meaning "Space".
So yes, if one, again, is supposed to go after what the Biblical texts says, then the Nefilim are of an extraterrestrial nature, as are "God".

If some people have a hard time accepting this, tough, but then again, an embaressing number of Christians haven't even read their own Bible.

Not sure if anyone answered this, and I don't mean to be crude, but I've often wondered this (couldn't help but wonder):

I've seen the pictures of just how large these giants were.
How is it physically possibly for them to mate with regular sized earth women? ..if you catch my drift

The "celestial fathers" themselves do indeed seem to have been tall, and taller than the average height of the natives at that time, in fact, but not extremely so. It would definitely have resulted in some difficulties for the females, but no extreme or lethal ones, I would assume, as there are after all plenty of short human females that have very tall and big boyfriends and yet very apparently survives the intimate side of the relationship.

As for the offspring, on the other hand, it was a much different matter, resulting in some mothers even dying when giving birth to them;

but they were unable to bring forth their children, and they died. And of the children who were in their wombs some died, and some came forth; having split open the bellies of their mothers they came forth by their navels. And when they were grown up and reached man's estate they became giants

This account, however, is most likely to have been quite exaggerated with time. nonetheless, the mothers apparently had great difficulties when giving birth to the hybrid offspring.

Oh poor mothers! Ouch.

About short girlfriend, tall boyfriend... I guess you're right about that (from experience)

But these pictures of humongous giants... there's just no way. I mean the one's Steven Quayle has on his site of people digging up giant bones.
But then again I caught him sending out a picture "silhouette of a giant" and he went on Coast to Coast AM to tell everyone about it....but I debunked it. I was just from a cell phone advertisement from Thailand or some place, it was really of a man holding his entire family up on his shoulders... and of course Quayle never got back to me and never publicly stated that it turned out to be a hoax. That right there, to me, shows a flaky "researcher."

So what else of Quayles is faked/hoaxed? Who knows? Maybe the photos of the giants?

Lol, that was funny,"Silhouette of a Giant".
Still, we can't really blame Mr. Quayle, though, as he was just being gullible and kindly reported back what others had proclaimed, without first investigating the case. Which is unfortunately not an uncommon thing within the areas of the "not properly investigated", which in turn then causes such material to be even the more spread around until it comes back up and bites the person that fell for it in the bum, and in the process also hurts the entire field.

As for what examples of giants are faked, I would say that all the pics that shows truly enormous bones, are faked. You know, such as the infamous pics of a 50 ft long skeleton being dug up laying in the sand with a tiny worker standing behind. Those fotos, as you may know, turned out to be from a photoshop contest, which was only logical as actual proclaimed eyewitness accounts from ancient times do not ascribe such an enormous size to these giants at all; with the average size of being perhaps somewhere between 6 ft 3 and 9 foot, such as the giant Goliat, that in the Bible was described as being "six cubits and a span," that is, about nine feet nine inches". However, according to the very oldest descriptions of him, the Dead Sea Scroll of Samuel, his height is instead said to be "four cubits and a span", that is, about six feet nine inches.

So, whichever height is the true one, it could nevertheless be taken as a good hint for the interested one to go after, as the examplified size of Goliat certainly doesn't match the circulating and confirmed photoshop-pics of truly extreme giants.
So, anything over somewhere around 3 meters, I would recommend being very sceptical of and try to get confirmed with very thourough research.

...that woman on the left is approx. 6 ft 4 in(193cms) or 6-5 and wearing 7 inch heels = 6-11 (211cms)..to 7 feet.,.I read an article about her, she wears the heels to appear gigantic, but she isn't, just really, really tall, and she was/is a model.

I worked with guy who was 210cms tall...very rare, but nothing "non-human" about people this tall.
