Earthquakes in Costa Rica and off shore Panama

Well it's been awhile since any strong earthquakes in that area.... One of these days all hell will break loose.

I am so glad I live in an seismically stable area !

At 6:45 PM, June 3, 2012 a 5.3 earthquake struck 21 km southwest of PUERTO LA PLAYA in Golfito, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. No damage has been reported as yet. The Costa Rica News (TCRN) will update this report as soon as further information is available.

Update 6/3/2012, 9:32 pm:

Approximately the same time as the Costa Rica seismology report, it was reported reported a 6.2-magnitude earthquake striking off the southern coast of Panama, 215 miles south of David, Panama, and almost 330 miles southwest of the Panama City.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center advised there was no threat of a tsunami. (Source: CNN)

Holy smokes that is the area I am thinking of starting a company in. I am gonna wait to hav4e to rethink it. Oh wait never mind, there are boatloads of volcanoes and faults in the area of the world.

"My favorite quote? "A life without risk is a life not lived". Give me death by volcano, earthquake or flood. It is all better than dying of old age watching Southpark reruns in a padded chair or being killed a society gone mad.

Hopefully we will not hear of any deaths. Oh wait, that was a tiny quake anyway lol

i live in El Salvador, San Salvador, central america, i felt it, it was not at the time USGS says it was, it was around 3 PM, i was waiting for the website to publish info, never did, until hours later.
