Hello fellow ATS users. I don't post a lot at all, but I do love reading things in this section. I have a question about something that I have happening to me. This is similar to the purple light phenomena that I talked about in my other thread here: www.abovetopsecret.com...

This happens in my far left and right field of view when my eyes are closed and I am in a dark environment. When there is no external light that I am receiving as I wait 30 seconds or more for after-images to fade away completely, there seems to be a hazy, spot or "cloud-like" shape that is slightly brighter than everything else I can "see". These spots are always in the same area, but not exactly in the same location.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here is the INTERESTING part.
1) When I focus on one of these "spots" of light, the spot itself will move even further away from the center of my vision, sometimes so far that I cannot look at it directly.

2) When I am focusing on it, it will change shape (become less round) and will usually get brighter to become a glowing navy blue.

3) When I focus on one of these spots, EVERYTHING ELSE in my field of view becomes "starry" with specs of light that are a bright sky blue and are very hard to ignore. Right after, and sometimes while the "stars" are still there, a white "web" appears that is hard to explain. I can give more details if you want.

4) After the web and stars appear, there appears to be a dim grey mist or fog that is present for a very short time (few seconds). This looks similar to old TV static but is not at all bright.

There is no time where I cannot make this happen, as long as I am in a dark environment.

See an optometrist and get completely checked out. Seriously. I've been through this and caught glaucoma, which can blind you if left untreated, but it is easily treatable. If it's something else, fine, but eliminate a physical cause first.

See an opthamologist ASAP!!! It could be a number of things.

Retinal detachment
Cataracts
Glaucoma
Migraines
High blood pressure

Don't mess around with it!

Either you have a medical issue with your eyes you should get checked out or this is normal and your paying too much attention to it. It's most likely blood vessels inside your eyes, you focus and it moves away off to the side. I see this too,but only if I focus on it.

It's quite common to suddenly think your eyes are doing odd things. A few years ago I told my optometrist my eyes are suddenly acting like a camera. If I've looked at something for a few minutes and move away from it, I have the negative image of whatever it was stuck there in my visual field for a minute or so before it goes away. He said its normal. I said it wasn't there before, this just started happening. He said it was always there and I just noticed. I thought this was odd.

That sounds pretty crazy, i have not had any experience like that before.
The only thing i "see" in the dark with my eyes closed are a kind of bright(not exactly bright), whiteish kind of color.
And actually thats what i see every time i close my eyes. Its not necessarily bright, but thats how i can explain it.
But if the other posts say it could be some kind of disease. you might want to get that checked out.

don't worry I made a post related to this in another thread on this forum, I see them too, they fly around in fluid like motion, I believe we are all slowly being able to perceive spirits sort of like an '___' trip. I see random spots of light everywhere even in the dark we are waking up slowly

I was gonna start a thread about this, but this is as good a place as any.

For the past year I have been doing alot of meditation and attempting telekinesis.

About an hour before I go to sleep and I'm in the dark I get what looks like a light coming from behind my eyes. It just softly flashes then fades out quickly.

Whether this is the start of eye problems or a product of increased extrasensory activity I don't know.

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen an "I see stars in my eyes" thread.

Sounds exactly like Posterior vitreous detachment.Fun part of getting older but would definately have it checked to make sure its not something more serious.

I have been practicing things like that too... trying to use my mind power and even just get more in touch with my spiritual self.
I guess it could be called meditating but its not exactly what i do.
I do believe we are all in a crucial time to start getting to know our spiritual selves and be familiar with that side of life, because that is the real reality of things. The physical world is blinding us from what is important.

You're just noticing the neural activity of your retina and distortion in the clear picture that is constructed in your mind of the information perceived by your senses. However, there are other things that you can also see.. and I call these shadows. I believe they originate from the 'trickster'..

Sounds like a detached retina to me. I am blind in my right eye due to an injury and have a detached retina in that eye that is not repairable, which is why I am blind. Even though I am blind in that eye I still get flashes of light that are exactly as you have just described. Funny how I am blind but still see flashes of light, something to do with the optic nerve.

As other posters have already stated I would see an optometrist tomorrow. If you wait you could be permanently blind if it completely detaches as well as get glaucoma. Trust me, loss of your vision sucks even if its just one eye.

sometimes when I stare at the ground it seems to be moving or breathing, sometimes I just see vibration and then if I stare at the wall I can see anything, sometimes faces but im not on drugs too this happens randomly and naturally

This is pretty crazy.. last night i was laying down to go to bed, and i started seeing some bright colors and then i tried focusing on that brightish kind of area.. eyes still closed.. and as i did that i started to see a static type of vision.. almost like how you just explained.. it is weird.. i had just read about this thread that same day but its pretty interesting to me.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I will definitely go see an optometrist soon. I have to say that I've been seeing this for years, and I can only see it if I focus on it. It seems weird to me that I can see the same thing from BOTH sides of my vision, though. Again, thank you for your time. Namaste.
