Daily Mail reckons Anonymous had something to do with it.
Pardon me for failing to provide a link, but it was in today's news if anyone cares to delve.

My original intent to this post was the thought that our govt was taking it done because something was happening that they, the govt, didn't want people to know about. Social media sites blackouts like in Iran, China,etc. Yes our government would do such a thing if they wanted too.
