Russian rivers are clogged with frozen oil.. VIDEO

Whatever terrors the U.S. oil industry might come up with, the Russian oil industry is worse. Greenpeace’s Jon Burgwald recently visited Usinsk, a frigid city that’s a major Russian oil outpost. The oil pollution is so bad in this area that thawing rivers run black with oil.

Burgwald notes that “the same amount of oil that wrecked the Gulf coast spews from Russian oil fields into the freezing waters of the Arctic Ocean every 18 months.” And people living in this area used to actually depend on rivers like these for drinking water. Even worse, some still do.

The Video shows a phenom i've never heard of, Oil Ice! Ugh... I wish we would do a better job of taking care of this planet!
Government should also pay more attention and jump on cleaning up accidents and disasters like this asap! There are people there drinking this swill still! Not to mention the animal life that is subjected to swimming and drinking oil water.. its so sad

i've never heard of that either! that's pretty gross and it's still being used by some as drinking water???? i don't understand why people think it's okay to abuse the earth we live on.
